This justifies that [the PA] will be assigned personal and direct responsibility,\u201d Justice Yitzhak Amit <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesofisrael.com\/high-court-pa-liable-for-terrorism-due-to-stipends-to-attackers-victims-can-sue\/\">wrote<\/a> according to the <em>Times of Israel<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>The plaintiffs against the PA are the families of those killed in suicide bombings that took place in the beginning of the Second Intifada, between 2001 and 2002.<\/p>\n<p>Meir Sachivshordar, a plaintiff who lost his parents, sister, and brother in a 2001 attack, said in response to the ruling: \u201cThis is a war I have been waging for 21 years\u2026 rewards salaries to terrorists,\u201d according to <em>Walla! News<\/em>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The ruling, however,\u00a0said that the PA can only be sued for compensation, rather than punitive damages.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The Palestinian Authority tried to hide its payment of terrorists salaries in 2020, but we&#8217;ve found them.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s time the international community demanded clear reporting from the PA on its spending, rather than putting up with cheap accounting tricks. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/rHk98n3ZDM\">https:\/\/t.co\/rHk98n3ZDM<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Pal Media Watch (@palwatch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/palwatch\/status\/1363767732131557376?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">February 22, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Also on Sunday, Israeli media reported senior officials asked the Biden administration to\u00a0pressure the Palestinian President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/middle-east\/2022\/04\/10\/israel-asks-biden-admin-to-pressure-ramallah-to-cut-reward-pay-to-terrorists-father\/\">Mahmoud Abbas to cut<\/a> the \u201cpay-for-<span class=\"il\">slay<\/span>\u201d scheme and refuse payments to the father of the terrorist who carried out a deadly terror attack in Tel Aviv on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Under the Trump administration, Congress <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2018\/03\/23\/omnibus-bill-donald-trump-signs-taylor-force-act-defund-palestinian-terror-milestone\/\">passed<\/a> the Taylor Force Act in 2018, which banned the U.S. from giving aid to the PA until it ended the practice.
