(JASON REDMOND\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Schultz reportedly cut off Hall after she called attention to the various federal\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.nlrb.gov\/news-outreach\/nlrb-administrative-law-judge-finds-starbucks-illegally-retaliated-against-two\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">complaints<\/a>\u00a0the National Labor Relations Board brought against the company.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen he went into a long rant about the history of Starbucks and how he used to be poor,\u201d Hall said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI said, \u2018You say you\u2019re not anti-union, but on July 1, 2021, [Starbucks was] found guilty of retaliation in Philadelphia,\u2019\u201d Hall claimed. \u201cThat was when he got super-defensive and cut me off, saying, \u2018We\u2019re not talking about this.\u2019\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt was very, very bad. He was getting very aggressive with me,\u201d Hall\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/perfectunion.us\/starbucks-barista-challenges-ceo-howard-schultz-at-secret-meeting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claimed<\/a>. \u201cAnd then he went on another rant, and he told everyone else that he\u2019s sorry that this was brought up, that this isn\u2019t what [the event] was about, and he had his hand pointed towards me like I was a problem.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Schultz highlighted the company\u2019s \u201cmissteps\u201d and said the \u201ccollaborative sessions\u201d with Starbucks employees \u201chave not been without efforts at disruption by union organizers.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Schultz\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/04\/11\/starbucks-ceo-lashes-out-at-unionizing-baristas\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a>\u00a0the <em>New York Post<\/em>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>With significant pressures leading to the fracturing of our partner and customer experiences, I\u2019ve been transparent about our missteps and the reason for my return \u2013 to reimagine Starbucks \u2013 built on our core values and guiding principles.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI have complete confidence that together we will restore the trust and belief of our partners and deliver an elevated Starbucks Experience to our partners and customers,\u201d Schultz added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Starbucks interim CEO Howard Schultz reportedly told pro-union Starbucks workers to \u201cgo somewhere else\u201d during Schultz\u2019s stop at a California store on Friday.
