Now, we may begin to see what gun manufacturers are and are not doing when it comes to making and marketing their deadly products.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>On February 4 Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/04\/joe-biden-renews-push-for-lawsuits-against-gun-makers-he-equates-with-cigarettes-manufacturers\/\">reported<\/a> that Biden\u00a0compared gun makers to cigarette manufacturers, asking why the firearm industry has lawsuit protections that were not there to shield tobacco companies.<\/p>\n<p>Townhall.com\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/townhallcom\/status\/1489310513909702657\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">posted<\/a> video\u00a0of Biden addressing the topic by saying gun makers are \u201cthe only industry in America that is exempted from being able to be sued by the public.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden has made the claim that gun makers have immunity from lawsuits numerous times before, and on April 9, 2021, Breitbart News\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/2nd-amendment\/2021\/04\/09\/fact-check-joe-biden-falsely-claims-gun-makers-have-legal-immunity\/\">pointed out<\/a>\u00a0that his claims are false.<\/p>\n<p>Gun manufacturers are protected from lawsuits in situations where a gun, criminally used, was legally made and legally sold.
