Shortly after the monumental buy, Agrawal announced Musk would join the Silicon Valley giant\u2019s board of directors. <\/p>\n<p>Musk, a longtime critic of Twitter and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/business-leaders\/elon-musk-mocks-new-twitter-ceo\">Agrawal<\/a>, appeared eager to implement changes that would benefit users feeling overshadowed by the company\u2019s censorship track record. How does someone so admittedly eager to reform a platform suddenly change his mind?<\/p>\n<p>Musk has yet to publicly comment on his reasoning for rejecting a seat at the Big Tech company\u2019s table, but you don\u2019t have to read between the lines to know he felt forced out by Twitter officials who are not willing to modify the company\u2019s speech control. <\/p>\n<p>He even liked a tweet saying as much. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"884\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-11-at-10.51.05-AM-884x1024-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-270462\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-11-at-10.51.05-AM-884x1024-1.png 884w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-11-at-10.51.05-AM-259x300-1.png 259w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-11-at-10.51.05-AM-768x890-1.png 768w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-11-at-10.51.05-AM.png 1200w\"><\/figure>\n<p>Agrawal was not shy in admitting that Musk\u2019s duty as a board member would have required him to compromise and \u201cact in the best interests of the company and all our shareholders.\u201d His belief that Musk\u2019s absence \u201cis for the best\u201d shows that the SpaceX founder\u2019s penchant for free speech and the right to troll was never wanted on the Twitter board in the first place.<\/p>\n<p>Already, Twitter employees who were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/elon-musks-arrival-stirs-fears-among-some-twitter-employees-2022-04-07\/\">publicly frustrated<\/a> with Musk\u2019s sudden impending influence over the company are <a href=\"https:\/\/sports.yahoo.com\/twitter-manager-says-shes-glad-150709698.html\">celebrating his step back<\/a> as a victory for the tech company\u2019s increasingly woke agenda.  <\/p>\n<p>As satire site The Babylon Bee, a target of <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/21\/the-babylon-bees-twitter-resistance-is-a-lesson-in-taking-on-tech-tyrants\/\">Twitter\u2019s censorship<\/a>, perfectly <a href=\"https:\/\/babylonbee.com\/news\/twitter-workers-worried-elon-musk-will-turn-their-free-speech-platform-into-platform-that-allows-free-speech\">put it<\/a>, \u201cTwitter Workers Worried Elon Musk Will Turn Their Free Speech Platform Into Platform That Allows Free Speech.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-style-default\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"968\" height=\"1024\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-11-at-7.46.48-AM-968x1024-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-270456\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-11-at-7.46.48-AM-968x1024-1.png 968w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-11-at-7.46.48-AM-284x300-1.png 284w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-11-at-7.46.48-AM-768x813-1.png 768w, https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Screen-Shot-2022-04-11-at-7.46.48-AM.png 1206w\"><\/figure>\n<p>Musk was clear from the beginning that he wanted to change Twitter <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/04\/06\/6-ways-elon-musk-could-actually-improve-twitter\/\">for the better<\/a> by promoting free speech and implementing changes that would benefit all users, not just blue checks. That means Musk is a threat to everything Twitter wants to be. He\u2019s not afraid to criticize the company\u2019s many failures and illuminate its faults. He\u2019s a liability to the company\u2019s agenda and finances, and he can be a wild card, so it makes sense Twitter would want him gone. <\/p>\n<p>The good news is that Musk is no longer capped to owning just 14.9 percent of Twitter as outlined in his original board agreement with the company. Musk buying up more shares is an outcome that <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/02\/28\/ukraine-proves-our-ruling-class-only-cares-about-misinformation-when-its-politically-convenient\/\">pro-censorship media outlets<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2022\/04\/11\/musk-backing-off-twitter-board-opens-door-to-hostile-takeover.html\">fear<\/a>. <\/p>\n<p>Musk may not be joining the company\u2019s board, but he still has the opportunity to leverage his stakeholder power to strip Twitter of its free speech facade.
