Sarah Palin\u2019s political comeback bid for her state\u2019s sole seat on the U.S. House of Representatives.<\/p>\n<p>Anchor Jon Karl said, \u201cFormer Alaska Governor Sarah Palin is attempting a political comeback nearly 14 years after Sen. John McCain made her the Republican Party\u2019s first female candidate for vice president. She\u2019s running for Alaska\u2019s lone House seat following the death of longtime Congressman Don Young. Donald Trump has already endorsed her but does she have a shot at winning? Here\u2019s FiveThirtyEight\u2019s Nate Silver.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Sliver said, \u201cSarah Palin is an important figure historically. In some ways, she was the forerunner of the populist temperament that would later bring us President Trump, but there are reasons to be skeptical about her comeback chances.\u2019<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>He continued, \u201cAlaskans didn\u2019t like she quit on the job in 2009 before serving out her term. In fact, her favorability rating in a poll last October was only 31%.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>He added, \u201cShe\u2019s also getting a late start on a race chock-full of other candidates, almost 50 of them, in fact. That includes high-profile GOP contenders.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Silver concludes, \u201cI don\u2019t know what odds I\u2019d put on Palin. It\u2019s safe to say above zero but below 50%. But overall.
