CBS News called the new approval rating \u201cits lowest point yet,\u201d though other polls have shown the president\u2019s rating fall below 42%. Biden\u2019s disapproval rating is at 58%, according to the poll released Sunday.<\/p>\n<p>The poll was conducted between April 5-8 among 2,062 respondents with a margin of error of +\/- 2.8 points.<\/p>\n<p>Among those polled, 69% said they disapproved of Biden\u2019s handling of inflation, while 63% disapproved of his handling of the economy.<\/p>\n<p>Fifty-percent of those polled said the reason the economy is bad is because they \u201cdon\u2019 trust [the] Biden administration,\u201d while 86% and 82% pointed to inflation and gas prices respectively. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/04\/joe-biden-poll-numbers-democrats-midterms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: \u2018We\u2019re Going To Get Slaughtered\u2019: Biden\u2019s Poll Numbers Trigger Panic Mode For Democrats)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7407489\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7407489\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">WASHINGTON, DC \u2013 APRIL 06: U.S. President Joe Biden delivers remarks before signing the Postal Service Reform Act into law during an event in the State Dining Room at the White House on April 06, 2022 in Washington, DC. ( Chip Somodevilla\/Getty Images)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Amongst Democrats polled, 61% said they believe Biden is \u201cdoing all he can\u201d to lower gas prices compared to 93% of Republicans who said Biden could be doing more.
