The options for voters were \u201cYes\u201d and \u201cOf course.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Delete the w in twitter?<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Elon Musk (@elonmusk) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1513045405029711878?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 10, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>Last Thursday, The Daily Wire <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/some-people-are-dusting-off-their-resumes-elon-musk-is-stirring-fear-among-twitter-employees\"><span>reported<\/span><\/a><span> that some Twitter employees are getting nervous about Musk\u2019s new influence over the company, according to Reuters. \u201c<\/span><span>News of Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk taking a board seat at Twitter has some Twitter employees panicking over the future of the social media firm\u2019s ability to moderate content, company insiders told Reuters,\u201d the outlet <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.reuters.com\/technology\/elon-musks-arrival-stirs-fears-among-some-twitter-employees-2022-04-07\/?utm_medium=Social&#038;utm_source=twitter\"><span>reported<\/span><\/a><span>.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Twitter CEO Parag Agrawal announced Musk\u2019s appointment to the board of directors last Tuesday, tweeting, \u201c<\/span><span>I\u2019m excited to share that we\u2019re appointing<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk\"><span>@elonmusk<\/span><\/a><span> to our board! Through conversations with Elon in recent weeks, it became clear to us that he would bring great value to our Board. He\u2019s both a passionate believer and intense critic of the service which is exactly what we need on<\/span> <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Twitter\"><span>@Twitter<\/span><\/a><span>, and in the boardroom, to make us stronger in the long-term. It was also revealed later in the week that Musk talked with The Babylon Bee before he bought the stock.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cMusk reached out to us before he polled his followers about Twitter\u2019s commitment to free speech,\u201d Babylon Bee CEO Seth Dillon said. \u201cHe wanted to confirm that we had, in fact, been suspended. He even mused on that call that he might need to buy Twitter. Now he\u2019s the largest shareholder and has a seat on the board.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The satire site was <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/twitter-locks-out-babylon-bee-over-rachel-levine-tweet-the-bee-responds-truth-is-not-hate-speech\"><span>locked out<\/span><\/a><span> of its Twitter account after writing an article that named transgender Health and Human Services Assistant Secretary Rachel Levine as its \u201cMan of the Year.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI just received this notice that we\u2019ve been locked out of our account for \u2018hateful conduct,\u2019\u201d Dillion said after Twitter took action against his company\u2019s account. Dillon wrote that Twitter told the Bee that the account could be restored 12 hours after the company deletes the tweet linking to the article on Levine. Dillon told his followers that they don\u2019t plan on deleting the tweet. \u201cWe\u2019re not deleting anything. Truth is not hate speech.
