Josey, 31, causing him to run from the bathroom and restaurant,\u201d the outlet continued, adding he was recognized as a former staff member.<\/p>\n<p>In a social media post on Friday, the Metro Nashville Police Department <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MNPDNashville\/status\/1512557370567757824\">shared<\/a> a photo of Josey, who had a distinctive tattoo on the front of his neck depicting a large skull with wings.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe\u2019s charged w\/ invasion of privacy\/peeping tom-a felony,\u201d the department\u2019s post read:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BREAKING: Detectives today arrested parolee &#038; registered sex offender James Josey III, 31, for hiding in a stall of the women&#8217;s restroom at the Hermitage Whataburger &#038; using his phone to video persons in an adjacent stall. He&#8217;s charged w\/ invasion of privacy\/peeping tom-a felony. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/zLPTztL4BF\">pic.twitter.com\/zLPTztL4BF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Metro Nashville PD (@MNPDNashville) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MNPDNashville\/status\/1512557370567757824?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 8, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In 2017, Knoxville police were <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wvlt.tv\/content\/news\/Peeping-Tom-arrested-after-North-Knoxville-Target-incident-427978623.html\">called<\/a> to a Target regarding complaints about a peeping Tom and identified Josey, who was on probation, WVLT reported.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe female victim told police she was in a stall in the women\u2019s restroom when she noticed Josey allegedly looking at her from over the top of the divider in the next stall. The victim said Josey had a cell phone in his hand,\u201d the article read.<\/p>\n<p>Moments later, Josey fled but the victim followed him with assistance from her husband and staff members, holding him until police arrived.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI want to say to him that if you were to do that to my wife and daughter, and I got my hands around your neck, it\u2019s going to be a bad day for you,\u201d shopper Jamie Bowerman said at the time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The outlet noted Josey had been accused of multiple similar instances in prior years.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cIn 2015, he was accused of taking photos of an elderly woman in a Kroger restroom. In 2013, Josey was arrested for snapping pictures of a woman inside a Pizza Inn restroom,\u201d the report stated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Per the recent incident, the suspect reportedly admitted filming people in women\u2019s restrooms for \u201csexual gratification\u201d and was held on a $2,500 bond.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Meanwhile, officials said the State of Tennessee was expected to file a parole violation warrant regarding the case.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A registered sex offender and parolee was arrested in Tennessee for allegedly hiding in a women\u2019s restroom and is facing a felony charge, WKRN reported Saturday.
