Jim Inhofe said. \u201cAnyone who refuses to answer that question is without a doubt seeking to defend far-left radicals who are trying to upend America\u2019s values.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cAn adult female person. It\u2019s not that hard,\u201d Republican Florida <\/span>Sen. Rick Scott responded.<\/p>\n<p><span>Republican Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas and Marsha Blackburn of Tennessee said a woman is defined by \u201ctwo X chromosomes,\u201d with Cruz adding \u201chomo sapien\u201d as a qualifier.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt is bizarre we have reached a point where the definition of a woman would be in doubt. But if need be, Merriam Webster defines a woman as \u2018an adult female human being.\u2019 I do not believe we should be trying to redefine that,\u201d Republican Wisconsin <\/span>Sen. Ron Johnson said.<\/p>\n<p>Republican North Dakota Sen. Kevin Cramer referred the Daily Caller to his previous interview.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cT<span>he beautiful thing is I don\u2019t have to, God already did it,\u201d Cramer <a href=\"https:\/\/cnsnews.com\/article\/washington\/emily-robertson\/sen-cramer-its-pretty-serious-problem-judge-jackson-cannot\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a> to CNSNews.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Some of the responses included criticism of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson, then-nominee for Supreme Court Justice, for dodging the question during her hearing. Jackson <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/22\/judge-jackson-marsha-blackburn-woman-definition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">responded with<\/a> \u201cI\u2019m not a biologist\u201d when pressed to define \u201cwoman\u201d during her hearing by Blackburn.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_7407091\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\">\n<p id=\"caption-attachment-7407091\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">WASHINGTON, DC \u2013 MARCH 23: U.S. Sen. A woman is born with two X-chromosomes,\u201d Republican Iowa Sen. Charles Grassley said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Republican Oklahoma Sen. James Lankford referred to a statement he made previously about Jackson\u2019s answer.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201c<\/span><span>It is about biology. Ironically she stumbled into the exact right issues. It\u2019s basic biology, basic anatomy. Thomas went from being #462 as a male at the national level to being #1 as a female in the 500-yard freestyle.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesman for Republican Mississippi Sen. Roger Wicker referred the Daily Caller to Wicker\u2019s Tuesday tweet.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Most Americans can tell you what a woman is \u2013 it\u2019s not difficult. But Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was totally unable to define what a \u201cwoman\u201d is last week. It is a clear sign she is likeminded with the far left on issues involving the transgender movement.<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Senator Roger Wicker (@SenatorWicker) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenatorWicker\/status\/1511346670260293633?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 5, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>\u201cIt\u2019s unlikely that Judge Jackson is actually unknowledgeable on these topics,\u201d Republican Kansas Sen. Roger Marshall said, referring to Jackson\u2019s unwillingness to define \u201cwoman\u201d and if she knew whether a baby could feel pain at 20 weeks in the womb.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThese were glaring examples of her inability to go against the positions taken by the radical left and activists that pushed her resume to the top,\u201d Marshall added, adding that his experience delivering babies as an OBGYN confirms that a woman is defined as \u201chaving two X chromosomes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cCan you imagine if you were out deer hunting and had a doe tag and shot a buck? The game warden shows up and asks \u2018why did you shoot a buck?\u2019 Can you imagine replying \u2018I didn\u2019t know. \u2026 I\u2019m not a biologist.\u2019 Ridiculous,\u201d Republican Montana Sen. Steve <\/span>Daines said.<\/p>\n<p>Republican Louisiana Sen. Bill Cassidy referred the Daily Caller to his statement to why he would vote no for Jackson\u2019s nomination, which claims that Jackson is supported by those who want an activist judge.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPresident Biden chose Judge Jackson precisely because she is not a strict constructionist and because she had the strong support of those who prefer an activist judge. It is for these reasons that I will vote no,\u201d Cassidy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cassidy.senate.gov\/newsroom\/press-releases\/cassidy-to-vote-against-judge-jackson-for-lifetime-supreme-court-appointment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Republican Sens. Marco Rubio of Florida, Cindy Hyde-Smith of Mississippi and Joni Ernst of Iowa also referred to their statements against Jackson\u2019s nomination.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI do not support nominees who believe the job of the Supreme Court is to make policy rather than apply the Constitution as written,\u201d Rubio <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rubio.senate.gov\/public\/index.cfm\/press-releases?ID=EC18B918-7A72-43EC-B72A-BB1D45086FB9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJudge Jackson\u2019s record indicates a readiness to legislate from the bench, at times in a manner that risks some of the basic freedoms that are at the core of our Constitution.
