I saw a man kicking repeatedly a small dog on the sunset, yanking him up in the air and absolutely choking the dog. I yelled at him to stop from my car but he wouldn\u2019t. I got out of my car to try and get the dog but he started running. I saw other people watching on the street upset, as they must have seen the same abhorrent behavior I witnessed, so I tried to signal a man in an orange vest to run with me to chase him.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Watch below:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>She noted that she asked bystanders for help because she didn\u2019t want to confront the man by herself. And she then let the crowd voice their displeasure at the man.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo, at this point I held back and let them take the lead as I have no business trying to restrain a full-grown man. I went back to get my car (it was still running) and drove to see if they caught him,\u201d she <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MaloneJena\/status\/1511571236127531012\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">tweeted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>Malone <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MaloneJena\/status\/1511571576558260226\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">added<\/a> that the crowd that chased the alleged dog abuser ran after him for \u201csix blocks\u201d but she stayed behind to care for the dog and wasn\u2019t part of the attack on the man.<\/p>\n<p>The actress added that dog had been abused \u201cfor months.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">and this is the tail end of a heated fight that ensued. The cops came and took the guy. I waited with dog til another cop came to take them to the hospital. No question\u201d unless she intervened.\u00a0Ultimately, officials found that the dog, a 6-year-old Maltipoo named Champion, had been chipped and its owner was found. The owner claimed that the animal had been missing for a week.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUpdate: the dog was chipped and back with his owner. The dog had been missing for a week.
