According to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/tesla-to-host-homecoming-cyber-rodeo-in-texas-11649323802\"><span>The Wall Street Journal<\/span><\/a><span>, the entrepreneur gave new details about the Cybertruck \u2014 which Musk said would be built at the site beginning in 2023 \u2014 as well as the new Roadster and semi-truck.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cWe are really entering a new phase of Tesla\u2019s future,\u201d Musk proclaimed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Musk also said that Giga Texas is the largest factory in the world by volume. As he described, it is \u201cequivalent to three Pentagons; when a building is measured in units of Pentagon, you know it is quite large.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Giga Texas is the largest factory building in the world by volume. According to our calculations, you could fit a 194 billion hamsters in this building\u201d \u2013 <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@elonmusk<\/a><br \/><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/i0nu8O2wML\">pic.twitter.com\/i0nu8O2wML<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Tesla Owners Silicon Valley (@teslaownersSV) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/teslaownersSV\/status\/1512274975260094470?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 8, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>\u201cAccording to our calculations, you could fit 194 billion hamsters in this building,\u201d he continued.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The party was invitation-only and off-limits to the news media, according to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/US\/wireStory\/tesla-holds-biggest-invitation-party-texas-83948135\"><span>ABC News<\/span><\/a><span>, while up to 15,000 people were expected to attend.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Last year, Elon Musk <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/elon-musk-says-tesla-moving-headquarters-from-california-to-texas\"><span>revealed<\/span><\/a><span> that Tesla would be moving its headquarters from California to Texas, despite retaining a manufacturing presence in the Golden State. Musk had previously threatened to move Tesla\u2019s headquarters in 2020 when COVID-19 lockdowns shuttered the company\u2019s manufacturing facility in Fremont, California.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cIt\u2019s tough for people to afford houses, and people have to come in from far away,\u201d Musk said. \u201cThere\u2019s a limit to how big you can scale in the Bay Area. In Austin, our factory is like five minutes from the airport, 15 minutes from Downtown.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Earlier this week, <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/shop\/products\/elon-musk-tweet-t-shirt\"><span>Elon Musk<\/span><\/a><span> became Twitter\u2019s largest shareholder following the\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-elon-musk-becomes-twitters-largest-shareholder-after-shakeup-tease\"><span>purchasing<\/span><\/a><span>\u00a0of a 9.2% stake in the social media firm. He has promised to \u201cmake significant improvements to Twitter\u201d and has polled his followers on whether or not Twitter \u201crigorously adheres\u201d to the principles of free speech.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In the wake of his purchase \u2014 after which he received a position on Twitter\u2019s board of directors \u2014 many employees are wary of reforms that Musk may bring to the site. Twitter told Reuters that the company\u2019s board \u201cplays an important advisory and feedback role across the entirety of our service\u201d while daily decisions are made by Twitter\u2019s management and employees.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>One employee found this distinction \u201chard to believe\u201d and told Reuters, \u201cIf that\u2019s the case, why would Elon want a board seat?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Reuters added that other employees fear Musk will alter Twitter\u2019s \u201ccorporate culture\u201d of \u201cinclusivity,\u201d as Musk \u201chas faced widespread criticism for posting memes that mocked transgender people and efforts to stem the spread of COVID-19.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cSome people are dusting off their resumes,\u201d another employee told the outlet. \u201cI don\u2019t want to work for somebody [like Musk].\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Musk\u2019s launch into Twitter appears to be at least partially motivated by the company\u2019s censorship \u2014 particularly toward conservatives. Musk reportedly reached out to Seth Dillon, the CEO of Christian satire site The Babylon Bee, prior to issuing a poll about Twitter for his followers to vote on.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cMusk reached out to us before he polled his followers about Twitter\u2019s commitment to free speech,\u201d Dillon reported. \u201cHe wanted to confirm that we had, in fact, been suspended. He even mused on that call that he might need to buy Twitter.
