During his Miami speech, Thiel also took shots at JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon and BlackRock CEO Larry Fink, displaying large graphics with photos of the two CEO\u2019s and their comments criticizing Bitcoin.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Thiel at one point displayed a headshot of Buffett with the words \u201crat poison\u201d alongside it, referencing the time that Buffett used the term to describe and dismiss Bitcoin. Another Buffett quote stated:\u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t own any and I never will.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, despite this promise from Buffett, Berkshire invested $1 billion in Brazil\u2019s Nubank, an online bank popular among cryptocurrency investors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis is what we have to fight for bitcoin to go 10x or 100x from here,\u201d Thiel said referencing the financial executives. Thiel noted that the investors appear to have no issue praising blockchain technology but criticize Bitcoin itself and its legitimacy.\u00a0\u201cWhen they choose not to allocate to Bitcoin, that\u2019s a deeply political choice,\u201d Thiel said.<\/p>\n<p>Thiel has been an outspoken backer of multiple Republican politicians, including former President Donald Trump.
