You witnessed what he did it Chechnya. He had no qualms about crushing those who he considered a threat.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>That provoked Stephen Miller, contributing editor to The Spectator, to reference Obama\u2019s infamous response to GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney in a 2012 debate after Romney stated that Russia was America\u2019s main geopolitical foe. Obama taunted, \u00a0\u201cGovernor Romney, I\u2019m glad that you recognize that al Qaeda\u2019s a threat because a few months ago when you were asked, what\u2019s the biggest geopolitical threat facing America, you said Russia. What I remember is that after Russian separatists shot down a civilian airliner and Russia invaded a sovereign country, we just passed weak and targeted sanctions. All because Obama wanted Putin\u2019s help w Iran deal. And then Obama was publicly thanking Putin less than a year later for that deal. \u2026 It was no wonder Putin assumed the international costs of another invasion of Ukraine would be relatively low. Putin knew another Iran deal was on the table w an admin that mirrored Obama\u2019s. Had every reason to believe the consequences of invading Ukraine in 2022 [would] be similar to what they were in 2014. It wasn\u2019t Obama, Trump, or Biden that changed that.
