Rick Scott listed five reasons why he believes the GOP will win back the Senate majority in the 2022 midterm elections during an interview with the Daily Caller News Foundation.<\/p>\n<p>He highlighted the unpopularity of <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/11\/five-alarm-fire-democratic-party-wsj-poll-midterms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Democrat policies<\/a> among American voters, President Joe Biden\u2019s polling numbers, and the success of the Republican fundraising.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOne, we have really good candidates running,\u201d Scott, who serves as the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) chairman, told the DCNF. \u201cTwo, we\u2019re raising our money.\u201d <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/01\/17\/democrats-republicans-election-laws-jim-crow-midterms-whip-up-subversion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED:\u00a0Democrats Whip Up Fear Of \u2018Rigged\u2019 Midterm Elections)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The NRSC <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nrsc.org\/press-releases\/nrsc-announces-best-ever-march-q1-totals-2022-04-05\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">announced<\/a> Wednesday it raised a record $43 million in the first quarter of 2022 and raised a record $13.28 million in March.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/NRSC?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@NRSC<\/a> continues to break records! \ud83d\udcb0\ud83d\udc4f\ud83d\udc4f<\/p>\n<p>Senate Republicans have the war chest and the enthusiasm to oust radical <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenateDems?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@SenateDems<\/a> in November. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/57QvvN5ahK\">https:\/\/t.co\/57QvvN5ahK<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Rick Scott (@ScottforFlorida) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ScottforFlorida\/status\/1511410086354337793?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 5, 2022<\/a> <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Scott also said the GOP will take back the Senate majority as Republican candidates are \u201crunning good races,\u201d while Biden is suffering from \u201chorrible\u201d poll <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/31\/joe-biden-poll-black-approval-2024-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">numbers<\/a>.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/06\/poll-voters-oppose-biden-admin-title-42\/\">(RELATED:\u00a0Poll: 56% Of Voters Oppose Biden Admin\u2019s Plan To End Title 42)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFive, the Democrats\u2019 policies have been completely rejected by the public,\u201d Scott said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/02\/22\/rick-scott-11-point-plan-rescue-america\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scott<\/a> released an <a href=\"https:\/\/rescueamerica.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">11-point plan<\/a> in February that focuses\u00a0on key issues like education, immigration, public safety, and big tech.\u00a0Some <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/06\/gop-hispanic-female-candidates-texas-midterms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Democrats<\/a> have targeted the plan ahead of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dscc.org\/news\/dscc-launches-new-ad-featuring-fox-news-interview-with-nrsc-chair-scott-highlighting-gop-plan-to-raise-taxes-end-medicare-social-security\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">2022 midterms<\/a>, notably the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dscc.org\/news\/updated-dscc-expands-digital-ad-to-geo-target-heritage-foundation-as-nrsc-chair-rick-scott-gives-speech-on-gop-plan-to-raise-taxes-end-social-security-medicare%EF%BF%BC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">labeled<\/a> it a \u201ctoxic agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe welcome Rick Scott to continue talking about Republicans\u2019 plan to raise taxes, end Social Security and Medicare, and spike the cost of healthcare for hard working Americans,\u201d DSCC spokeswoman Nora Keefe said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dscc.org\/news\/updated-dscc-expands-digital-ad-to-geo-target-heritage-foundation-as-nrsc-chair-rick-scott-gives-speech-on-gop-plan-to-raise-taxes-end-social-security-medicare%EF%BF%BC\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">press release<\/a>.\u00a0\u201cVoters will hold every GOP Senate candidate accountable for their party\u2019s unpopular, toxic agenda.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Despite Democrats\u2019 strategy, <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2021\/11\/08\/rick-scott-brianna-keilar-crt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Scott<\/a> is moving ahead with his plan and discussed how he thinks the plan will impact the midterms. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/04\/joe-biden-poll-numbers-democrats-midterms\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED:\u00a0\u2018We\u2019re Going To Get Slaughtered\u2019: Biden\u2019s Poll Numbers Trigger Panic Mode For Democrats)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst off, I think that Republican voters clearly support us having a plan and having a, you know, having an idea of what we\u2019re going to do going forward,\u201d Scott told the DCNF. \u201cI think every \u2026 every race, you know, just like my race in \u201918, is a statewide race of the issues that are going on in that state.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Scott\u2019s goal is for the party to \u201chave a conversation about where [they] go\u201d and \u201cwhat [they\u2019re] going to do when [they] win.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat\u2019s how I won my races. And so, I\u2019ve been very clear on what I put out is that \u2026 is that these are my ideas. I hope other people put out their ideas,\u201d Scott said. \u201cAnd we have a robust conversation about, you know, how we restore and \u2026 rescue this country.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Senate is currently divided down the middle. The Republican Party lost its majority in the Georgia runoff elections in January 2021, with Democratic Sens. Ralphael Warnock and Jon Ossoff beating former Republican Sens.
