It is ideally suited for areas where connectivity has been unreliable or completely unavailable.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>A USAID spokesperson told FOX Business that the procurement and delivery of the terminals was made possible by a wide range of stakeholders, whose combined contributions valued at over $15 million. USAID directly procured 1,333 of the terminals and provided on-the-ground logistical support to facilitate their safe delivery. Meanwhile, SpaceX provided the other 3,667 terminals and the satellite internet service itself. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;The Starlink satellite terminals will enable unlimited, unthrottled data connectivity from anywhere in Ukraine,&#8221; the agency said in a statement. &#8220;The terminals will allow public officials and critical citizen service providers to continue to communicate within Ukraine and with the outside world, even if Putin\u2019s brutal aggression severs Ukraine\u2019s fiber optic or cellular communication infrastructure connections.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/apps-products\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>GET FOX BUSINESS ON THE GO BY CLICKING HERE<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Since Russia&#8217;s invasion of Ukraine began on Feb. 24, USAID has been working closely with its partners to provide humanitarian assistance to Ukraine. It has also been ramping up development programs to support the continued functioning of local and national government entities and respond to cyberattacks, disinformation, threats to the energy sector and essential health needs.<\/p>\n<p>Ukraine <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/technology\/ukraine-shipment-starlink-terminals-elon-musk\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">received its first batch of Starlink terminals<\/a> on Feb. 28, less than 48 hours after Elon Musk said that the service had been activated in Ukraine.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><u>CLICK HERE TO READ MORE ON FOX BUSINESS<\/u><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Starlink&#8217;s basic service, which launched in October 2020, requires a $99 refundable deposit and charges a $99 per month service fee and $499 hardware fee.
