In a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Eg6nOvvBD4s&#038;t=1059s\">Tuesday press conference<\/a>, Bukovinac said the pair went to the clinic to\u00a0<span>\u201cto engage in anti-abortion advocacy\u201d when they saw a truck labeled \u201cCurtis Bay Medical Waste Services\u201d parked outside.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>She continued:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span>We approached the driver who was about to load two large boxes with biohazard symbols onto his truck. We asked him if he knew what was in the boxes and, after he said no, we told him: dead babies. Lauren promised they would give them a funeral and a burial. He then gestured to the box and said ok. One much bigger than the remaining four. Lauren reached into the largest bucket and removed the remains of a beautiful, intact and nearly full-term baby boy we named Christopher X,\u201d Bukovinac continued. \u201cI think I can speak for both Lauren and I when I say this was the most devastating and soul-crushing experience of our lives. City Hall on Thursday<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span class=\"video-src-attr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/author\/matt-perdie\/\">Matt Perdie<\/a> \/ Breitbart News<\/span><br \/>\n<span class=\"video-src-attr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/author\/matt-perdie\/\">Matt Perdie<\/a> \/ Breitbart News<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Bukovinac said they found four more late-term aborted babies with \u201ca range of injuries, including\u00a0<span>a fully intact girl we named Harriet, who had one eye open and an incision in the back of her neck, her brain suctioned out and her skull crushed.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>PAAU said another child was found intact still contained in its amniotic sac.<\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cA feticide is generally used during abortion procedures after 20 weeks\u2019 gestation, to cause an unborn baby a heart attack, which helps prevent a live birth and the excruciating pain of total dismemberment,\u201d she said. \u201cBut in 2013, Live Action <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=NxOWyumLufA&#038;t=273s\"><span>captured<\/span><\/a><span> undercover footage of abortionist Cesare Santangelo \u2026 admitting that he does not use feticide.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Cesare Santangelo has been under investigation by <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LiveAction?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@LiveAction<\/a> for years. <\/p>\n<p>We have documented him on undercover camera, admitting to our pregnant investigator, that he would *NOT* help a born-alive infant in his clinic. <\/p>\n<p>In other words, he would leave them to die. <\/p>\n<p>RT! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/zZJ86hlKap\">pic.twitter.com\/zZJ86hlKap<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Lila Rose (@LilaGraceRose) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/LilaGraceRose\/status\/1511402867281776641?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 5, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p><span>\u201cBecause of this admission, and the advanced gestational ages of these babies and their intact condition, the likelihood that some were born alive is undeniable,\u201d she continued. \u201cAdditionally, the injuries sustained by Harriet strongly imply she was the victim of a partial birth abortion.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Live Action News, the publishing arm of the pro-life organization Live Action, was able to obtain pictures of the aborted babies and\u00a0<a class=\"c-link c-link--focus-visible\" tabindex=\"-1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/infant-bodies-infanticide-attempted-abortions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\" data-stringify-link=\"https:\/\/www.liveaction.org\/news\/infant-bodies-infanticide-attempted-abortions\/\" data-sk=\"tooltip_parent\" data-remove-tab-index=\"true\">show<\/a>\u00a0them to neonatal experts, including former abortionist, and ask them to consult on the nature of the five babies\u2019 deaths.\n<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">Physician experts told Live Action News, upon reviewing photographs of the aborted babies, that they \u201cappear to have been viable human beings, raising questions about potential legal and serious ethical violations by the abortion clinic.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cI can say with confidence that these babies died at an age when they were viable, premature people\u201d Neonatal specialist Dr. Robin Pierucci told the publication last Friday, adding that she cares for \u201clittle ones this age and size\u201d at the NICU where she works.<\/p>\n<p>The pro-life news source noted that while D.C. does not have a ban on late-term abortions, federal laws forbids medical professionals from performing certain kinds of abortions or denying life-saving care for babies born alive after \u201cbotched procedures.\u201d PAAU says it believes the late gestational ages, as well as their apparent sustained injuries, potentially show violations of the\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/108\/plaws\/publ105\/PLAW-108publ105.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">Partial Birth Abortion Act<\/a>\u00a0as well as the\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.congress.gov\/bill\/107th-congress\/house-bill\/2175\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">Born Alive Infants Protection Act<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_20572778\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2022\/04\/PAAU-Activist-Holds-Sign.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\">A left-wing pro-life activist, from the Progressive Anti-Abortion Union (PAAU), holds a sign during a protest outside the Mayor\u2019s Office in Washington, DC, on Thursday April 7, 2022. (Matt Perdie\/Breitbart News)<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Handy, who described herself as a\u00a0<span>devout Catholic who supports economic left policies and creating a culture of life,\u201d gave a tearful account of what she said she saw, saying the abortion industry uses fear to profit off of women.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe abortion industry, which is the overlapping interests of state and business, uses fear, isolation, and violence to make profit off of people who are pregnant, families, and in particular low income women facing crisis and unwanted pregnancies,\u201d Handy said. \u201cUplifting and showing the five children does not pit us against their parents. I am deeply heartbroken for these families. Their exploitation from Washington Surgi-Clinic, and then their children being used for profit by Curtis Bay, shows how deeply flawed our communities are structured.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Bukovinac said they held a funeral Mass at Handy\u2019s apartment and named all 115 babies, before the 110 smaller babies were buried at an undisclosed location.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em><span>(Caution: disturbing and graphic images)<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">A priest has since done a funeral mass for unbaptized children for all 115 babies. 110 were  buried by a priest in an undisclosed location within a private cemetery. 5 of them are now in the custody of the authorities at the request of Terrisa and Lauren. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6o9DFgE8Vv\">pic.twitter.com\/6o9DFgE8Vv<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 PAAU (@PAAUNOW) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PAAUNOW\/status\/1511806361016885255?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 6, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wusa9.com\/article\/news\/crime\/five-fetuses-found-at-home-of-anti-abortion-activist-dc-police-say-lauren-handy-jonathan-darnell-clinic\/65-f4399616-16be-4e99-9951-e7d299d7e8cd\">early media reports<\/a>, the Metropolitan Police Department went to a home on the 400 block of 6th Street SE to investigate a tip about \u201cpotential bio-hazard material\u201d before the D.C. Office of the Chief Medical Examiner ultimately collected the children\u2019s remains. PAAU says it alerted the D.C. Homicide Unit of the five larger babies, wanted to turn over their remains, and requested an investigation into their deaths.<\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cArrangements were made for the babies to be picked up that evening. But police didn\u2019t arrive until the afternoon of the 30th, just hours after Lauren was taken into custody by the FBI in connection with a rescue two years prior,\u201d\u00a0<\/span><span>Bukovinac said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Live Action founder Lila Rose alleged that Handy and eight other PAAU members are \u201cbeing persecuted by the DOJ\u201d for their \u201cnon-violent, civil disobedience activism at abortion facilities.\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2022\/03\/31\/us\/fetus-anti-abortion-home.html\">According<\/a> to the far-left <em>New York Times,\u00a0<\/em><\/span><span>Handy is one of several PAAU group members who is facing charges for \u201cdirecting eight other people who used their bodies, furniture, chains and ropes\u201d to block the doors of the Washington Surgi-Clinic on October 22, 2020.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhen you do that, bad stuff can happen to you sometimes. Two years ago, I was filing a peaceful pro-life activity at the Washington Surgi Center, alright. And then we didn\u2019t hear anything for two years,\u201d PAAU member and Director of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.getseriouschurch.com\/\">getseriouschurch.com<\/a>\u00a0Jonathan Darnell said at the Tuesday press conference.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnd then last Wednesday morning at the crack of dawn, an FBI swat team busted down our door, handcuffed myself and all my housemates, arrested me and held me in custody for nine hours. I never saw a warrant,\u201d he alleged.\u00a0<span>Contrary to pro-life activists\u2019 findings, e<\/span>xecutive assistant chief of police Ashan M. Mayor Muriel Bowser\u2019s (D) office, as well as the D.C. metro police, demanding an autopsy and a full investigation into the deaths of the five babies who were allegedly aborted by\u00a0Dr. Cesare Santangelo at the Washington Surgi Center.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese five children, like all children, have inherent value and deserved better than abortion \u2013 they deserved life. But at a minimum, they deserve to have their deaths investigated to ensure that no D.C. or federal laws were broke,\u201d according to the\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/568241936\/FinalLankford-Letter-to-Bowser-4-5-22\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">letter<\/a>, which was obtained exclusively by the Daily Wire.<\/p>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<p>Since then, Rose said Bowser\u2019s office has been \u201cinundated with thousands of calls an email,\u201d and a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/04\/07\/watch-live-leftwing-pro-life-activists-protest-outside-d-c-mayors-office-demand-investigation-into-aborted-babies-discovered-in-dc\/\">protest<\/a> was held outside of her office on Thursday. Bowser has been silent on all fronts \u2014 though she continues to bring in\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MaryMargOlohan\/status\/1511799241265618946\/photo\/1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">endorsements<\/a>\u00a0from pro-abortion groups, according to media reports.<\/p>\n<p>Curtis Bay Medical Waste Services has repeatedly denied that any of their boxes were taken and that they dispose of fetal remains, the Daily Wire reported.\u00a0<span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">The Washington Surgi Center, where\u00a0<span>Dr. Cesare Santangelo is reportedly the sole abortionist,\u00a0<\/span>also did not respond to requests for comment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p><span>\u201cWe are demanding that the D.C. police conduct a full investigation into the deaths of these babies, including thorough autopsies,\u201d Bukovinac stated. \u201cWe demand that the U.S. Department of Justice prosecute Santangelo for violations of the Born-Alive Infant Protection Act and the Partial Birth Abortion act.
