First of all let me clarify myself, July second is my birthday, July Fourth is my son, and the 18th is my other son.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Judge Scherer: \u201cDon\u2019t talk too fast, we have to be able to understand \u2026 so you said that in July, there\u2019s dates in July that you\u2019re not available? What are those dates?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Miss Bristol: \u201cJuly seventh, July fourth, and July 18th \u2026 And again, I need to figure out something. I have my sugar daddy that I see every day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Judge Scherer: \u201cI\u2019m sorry?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Miss Bristol: \u201cMy sugar daddy.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Judge Scherer: \u201cOK, I\u2019m not exactly sure what you\u2019re talking about but we\u2019ll\u2014\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Miss Bristol: \u201cI\u2019m married, and I have my sugar daddy. I see him every day.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Judge Scherer: \u201cOK. All right. Ma\u2019am, we\u2019ll come back to you, OK? Thank you.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">The excuse worked.<br \/>WATCH: Prospective Parkland school shooting sentencing juror cites &#8220;sugar daddy&#8221; in attempt to get off jury duty <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iREikCbVSl\">pic.twitter.com\/iREikCbVSl<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jackson Richman (@jacksonrichman) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jacksonrichman\/status\/1512119396856176640?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 7, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Bristol, according to the Fox News report, was one of 120 (out of 160) who were initially excused from the jury \u2014 many of the others cited family conflicts and travel plans among the reasons they needed to be excused, and some reportedly were dismissed due to a language barrier.<\/p>\n<p>The sentencing phase for the Parkland school shooter \u2014 who pled guilty to charges stemming from the shooting last October \u2014 is expected to last from June until September of this year. His name will not be printed due to The Daily Wire\u2019s policy against naming <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/why-daily-wire-will-no-longer-publish-names-or-ben-shapiro\/\">mass shooters<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/parkland-shooting-nikolas-cruz-sentencing-sugar-daddy\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p class=\"speakable\"><em>The selected jurors will eventually determine whether [the shooter] will face the death penalty or life in prison. He killed 17 people at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, where he was once a student, on Valentine\u2019s Day in 2018.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Jurors will have to agree to the death penalty unanimously in order for him to receive such a sentence.
