So my position in the White House became extremely uncomfortable, and, in fact, untenable because I kept on telling the truth.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHe also agreed that if the former administration had focused on public health instead of the politics, a lot of lives could have been saved,\u201d Goldberg continued.<\/p>\n<p>Joy Behar then asked whether the former president and his administration could potentially face a class-action lawsuit from those who had lost loved ones during the pandemic.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf all these people who got\u00a0Covid because of the lies and\u00a0misinformation, isn\u2019t there a\u00a0class action suit that they can\u00a0sue that administration and all\u00a0those people who took her words\u00a0and changed them or took them\u00a0out?\u201d she asked.<\/p>\n<p>Hostin mentioned her husband, Emmanuel Hostin, who lost both of his parents to COVID-19. \u201cMy family has thought about\u00a0this a lot, especially because\u00a0Manny\u2019s parents died from COVID,\u00a0and I blame the Trump\u00a0administration for that,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut can you sue them?\u201d Behar asked again.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe\u2019ve explored it. We\u2019ve explored it.
