Will Smith is not named in Epstein\u2019s publicly-available flight logs.<\/p>\n<p><strong><span>Fact Check:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Smith has been the subject of extensive news coverage since slapping comedian Chris Rock at the Academy Awards March 27 after the latter made a joke about the shaved head of Smith\u2019s wife, USA Today <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/entertainment\/movies\/oscars\/2022\/03\/27\/will-smith-smack-chris-rock-oscars\/7188464001\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">reported<\/a>. Smith resigned from the academy April 1, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/will-smith-academy-sanctions-hearing-moved-slap-1695680\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Newsweek<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, an image shared on Facebook purports to show Smith\u2019s name on \u201cJeffrey Epstein\u2019s Flight Log.\u201d The image shows a list of dozens of names of celebrities and politicians including former President Bill Clinton, convicted Epstein associate Ghislaine Maxwell and actor Robert Downey Jr.<\/p>\n<p>The list shared on Facebook is not authentic. It previously appeared on <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ufolo\/status\/1279098598781784067\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/EpsteinAndFriends\/comments\/emvk4c\/list_of_names_for_the_epstein_flight_logs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Reddit<\/a> in 2020, months after Epstein had been <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2019\/08\/10\/convicted-pedophile-jeffrey-epstein-dead\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">found dead<\/a> in his prison cell. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thedailybeast.com\/fake-jeffrey-epstein-flight-logs-lead-qanon-crazies-to-target-chrissy-teigen-and-beyonce\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Daily Beast<\/a> reported in August 2020 that the list was fake and noted several names on it were misspelled and did not appear on authentic copies of Epstein\u2019s flight logs.<\/p>\n<p>Smith does not appear on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/every-flight-made-by-jeffrey-epsteins-private-jets-2020-7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Business Insider\u2019s<\/a> searchable list of Epstein\u2019s authentic flight logs. Notably, Clinton and Maxwell do. There are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/search?q=will+smith+jeffrey+epstein&#038;sxsrf=APq-WBuNYqS0mNpFebi5OJtNa5KXXtRU9w:1649336415545&#038;source=lnms&#038;tbm=nws&#038;sa=X&#038;ved=2ahUKEwjgnqf5gIL3AhVBkokEHTWLCkAQ_AUoAXoECAEQAw&#038;biw=960&#038;bih=972&#038;dpr=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">no news reports<\/a> suggesting Smith ever knew Epstein or flew on Epstein\u2019s plane. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2021\/12\/02\/fact-check-image-joe-biden-jeffrey-epstein\/\">(RELATED: Does This Image Show Joe Biden With Jeffrey Epstein?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time a public figure has been falsely accused of having a history with Epstein.
