Health is contacting all human victims who were bitten by the fox.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>D.C. Health stated that the fox was \u201chumanely euthanized so that rabies testing may be done\u201d following its two-day biting spree on Monday and Tuesday, the\u00a0Agence France-Presse <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/fur-flies-as-red-fox-terrorizes-humans-in-us-capitol-rampage\/\">reported<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The city agency noted that on Wednesday morning, the animal\u2019s offspring were discovered and captured, ABC News <a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/fox-captured-capitol-hill-biting-lawmaker-euthanized\/story?id=83893962\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>D.C. Health said:<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote>\n<p><span>The fox was an adult female and kits were found and captured in the area where the fox was from earlier this morning. If this fox is determined to be the parent of the kits, they will be sent to a wildlife rehabilitation center, otherwise they will be relocated in the area they were found.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>The fox bit Rep. Ami Bera (D-CA) on Monday while he was on his way to the Capitol, the Associated Press <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/fox-bites-man-putting-capitol-hill-on-high-alert\/\">noted<\/a>. Bera began rabies postexposure prophylaxis (PEP) Tuesday, according to TODAY.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cRabies PEP includes one dose of human rabies immune globulin (HRIG) and four doses of rabies vaccine given over two weeks,\u201d New York City\u2019s Department of Health <a href=\"https:\/\/www1.nyc.gov\/assets\/doh\/downloads\/pdf\/vet\/what-to-expect-rabies-pep.pdf\">reports<\/a>. \u201cHRIG provides immediate protection while the vaccine helps your body\u2019s immune system fight the virus.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Bera snagged a picture of the animal, seen below, and <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/RepBera\/status\/1511723347025055753\">announced<\/a> in a tweet Wednesday that he feels healthy and is \u201c<\/span><span>glad to be back at work.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Thanks everyone for the well wishes!
