The image has been altered to include the Trump sign visible in the background.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The photo appears to show a woman in a crowd giving a Nazi salute while wearing a shirt with a swastika on it. Behind her appears to be a poster of Trump\u2019s face superimposed onto the body of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTrump rally \u2013 let\u2019s see you\u2019ve got your Nazi swastikas, Sieg Heil Hitler salute, individuals wrapped in both Confederate and Nazi flags,\u201d the post\u2019s caption claims. \u201cBut I believe the pi\u00e8ce de r\u00e9sistance here has to be the massive painting of Trump as Jesus Christ their savior. These folks are just swell.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The photo has been digitally altered and predates Trump\u2019s 2016 presidential campaign. A reverse image search revealed an unedited version of the photo was featured in a 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.royalgazette.com\/other\/article\/20190815\/the-insidious-role-of-female-white-nationalists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">article<\/a> published by the Royal Gazette. In that photo, there is notably no poster featuring Trump\u2019s likeness in the background but rather a historical marker commemorating the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.visitknoxville.com\/listing\/the-treaty-of-the-holston\/2444\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Treaty of Holston<\/a>. The marker is located in downtown Knoxville, Tennessee, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hmdb.org\/m.asp?m=62517\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">the Historical Marker Database<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>While the 2019 article gives no indication as to when the photo was taken, an internet search revealed there was a National Socialist Movement rally held in Knoxville in August 2010. A video of the rally uploaded to YouTube by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=19tgkzWTsMM\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Knoxville News Sentinel<\/a> shows the woman in the swastika shirt attending the event.\u00a0<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2020\/05\/28\/fact-check-kkk-members-carrying-trump-pence-campaign-banner\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Image Claims To Show KKK Members Carrying A Trump-Pence Campaign Banner)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Nationalist Socialist Movement is currently the largest neo-Nazi group in the country, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.adl.org\/education\/resources\/profiles\/national-socialist-movement\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Anti-Defamation League<\/a> (ADL).
