Colucci then turned over two baggies, each containing a white crystal-like substance, to a deputy.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The HCSO said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Colucci told deputies he wanted his methamphetamine tested, as he did not want other people to purchase \u201cfake\u201d methamphetamine from the individual who sold it to him. Colucci wanted deputies to \u201cput the person in trouble\u201d for selling dangerous drugs; however, he was unable to provide a name or any contact info for this individual.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div id=\"attachment_4989646\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2016\/09\/crystal-meth-getty.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Crystal meth (David Handschuh\/NY Daily News Archive via Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>A deputy obliged and tested the substances in the baggies, both of which turned up positive for methamphetamine, the sheriff\u2019s office said. Deputies then arrested Colucci, who subsequently told them he was experiencing chest pains, the release noted. He was then taken to a hospital where he was medically cleared by a doctor and taken to the Hernando County Detention Center, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p>He has been charged with possession of methamphetamine and two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia, the HCSO said. His bond was set at $7,000, which is $5,000 for the methamphetamine possession charge and $1,000 each for the paraphernalia charges, online inmate records <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hernandosheriff.org\/jail\/Applications\/JailSearch\/JailSearchDetails.aspx?BookNo=HCSO22JBN000966\">show<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Colucci was previously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hernandosheriff.org\/jail\/Applications\/JailSearch\/JailSearchDetails.aspx?BookNo=HCSO18JBN003662\">arrested<\/a> in July of 2018 and charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, false imprisonment, driving under the influence (DUI) .15 or above, DUI damage to property or a person, and leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, online court records <a href=\"https:\/\/www.civitekflorida.com\/ocrs\/app\/caseinformation.xhtml?query=skKQ0Q8jD1O0HWIHnAyI6LFpLl3EU9Xm0GSdgNXr24c&#038;from=partyCaseSummary\">show<\/a>. Prosecutors declared the first three charges \u201cNolle Prosequi,\u201d while he was convicted on the DUI damage to property charge and leaving the scene of an accident charge and sentenced to one year or probation, court records show.<\/p>\n<p>Under common law, prosecutors use a Noelle Prosequi \u201cto declare voluntarily ending a criminal case\u00a0<em>after<\/em>\u00a0the filing of formal charges but\u00a0<em>before<\/em>\u00a0the case could be dismissed by the court or a verdict could be rendered at trial,\u201d the Sammis Law Firm, based in Tampa, Florida, <a href=\"https:\/\/criminaldefenseattorneytampa.com\/legal-defenses\/nolle-prosequi\/\">noted<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The sheriff\u2019s office welcomed any other individuals questioning the legitimacy of their illegal narcotics to reach out to the HCSO for testing, which \u201cis pleased to provide this service, FREE of charge.\u201d<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Authorities say a Florida man was arrested after he called 911 and requested a deputy \u201ctest the methamphetamine\u201d he purchased, worrying it was actually bath salts.
