The agents found the children in a group of eight.<\/p>\n<p>Del Rio Sector Chief Patrol Agent Jason D. Owens tweeted a photo of a group of eight migrant children found along the Rio Grande. Agents from the Del Rio Border Patrol Station found the eight small children by themselves after human smugglers left them on the Texas side of the border river.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Del Rio Sector continues to encounter unaccompanied children. Owens (@USBPChiefDRT) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/USBPChiefDRT\/status\/1511732815444029443?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 6, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThese children are innocent &#038; don\u2019t deserve to be put in danger like this,\u201d Chief Owens stated.<\/p>\n<p>This apprehension follows other similar disturbing incidents where smugglers continue to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tag\/abandoned-migrant-children\/\">abandon children<\/a> along the Rio Grande in the Del Rio Sector.<\/p>\n<p>Last week,\u00a0Del Rio Sector agents found five unaccompanied migrant children along the Texas side of the Rio Grande, Breitbart Texas <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/04\/02\/five-young-migrant-children-abandoned-on-texas-bank-of-border-river-one-injured\/\">reported<\/a>. One of the children, a six-year-old boy, suffered an injury while crossing the river by himself.<\/p>\n<p>In March, agents found a five-year-old boy along the Rio Grande near Eagle Pass, Texas, Breitbart Texas\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/border\/2022\/03\/16\/5-year-old-boy-found-unaccompanied-in-large-group-of-migrants-at-border-in-texas\/\">reported<\/a>. Two weeks earlier, agents\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/border\/2022\/03\/02\/abandoned-migrant-toddler-found-by-texas-border-river-in-freezing-temps\/\">found an abandoned toddler<\/a>\u00a0wandering alone along the banks of the Rio Grande in 30-degree weather.
