Here are 15 times Disney has promoted the gay and transgender agenda in movies, TV shows, and other programming aimed primarily at kids.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong>1. Disney+ hosts LGBTQ Pride concert with drag and\u00a0gender non-binary performers<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last year, Disney+ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/06\/17\/disney-hosting-lgbtq-pride-concert-aimed-at-children-starring-drag-queen-nina-west\/\">hosted<\/a>\u00a0<em>This Is Me: Pride Celebration Spectacular<\/em>, a musical special on YouTube\u00a0starring drag queen Nina West, with performances of popular Disney songs re-imagined with LGBTQ themes. Among the performers were\u00a0gender-fluid singer\u00a0Alex Newell and gender non-binary performer Jesse James Keitel.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p><strong>2. Pixar\u2019s <em>Out<\/em> (2020)<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This animated Pixar short tells the story of\u00a0a young man named Greg who doesn\u2019t want his parents to discover his relationship with his boyfriend, Manuel. The movie culminates with a gay kiss. \u201cI\u2019d never seen two guys kissing in a Disney movie,\u201d said writer-director Steven Hunter in an interview.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p><em>Out<\/em> was released last year on Disney+ \u00a0and on YouTube to celebrate Pride Month.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong>3. Pixar looking for minors to cast as \u201c14-year-old transgender girl\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In a casting notice that surfaced last year, Pixar is looking to cast the role of a \u201c14-year-old transgender girl\u201d in an upcoming animated project. The studio is looking for minors age 12 to 17 who \u201ccan authentically portray\u201d the character \u201cJess,\u201d who is described as \u201ccompassionate, funny, and always has your back.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">We have confirmed this is legit, so share away! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/oKLFzyjXIL\">pic.twitter.com\/oKLFzyjXIL<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Trans March (@transmarch) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/transmarch\/status\/1384582383089840133?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 20, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p><strong>4. Disney+\u2019s <em>Ironheart<\/em> series casting\u00a0a \u201ctransgender woman\u201d of color<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The upcoming Marvel superhero series reportedly announced it is looking to cast\u00a0a \u201cBlack, Latina, or Afro-Latina transgender woman\u201d who is around 18 to 22 years old.\u00a0The casting call describes the character as \u201csmart, confident, and with a mystical bent and unique sense of humor.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/MarvelStudios?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#MarvelStudios<\/a> is reportedly casting an actress to play a Black, Latina or Afro-Latina transgender character in the <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/hashtag\/Ironheart?src=hash&#038;ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">#Ironheart<\/a> Disney+ series! Disney Channel\u2019s <em>The Owl House<\/em> introduces gender non-binary character who uses \u201cthey \/ them\u201d pronouns<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Last year, the childrens animated series\u00a0unveiled the character Raine Whispers, the gender non-binary Head Witch of the Bard Coven. Pixar\u2019s <em>Onward<\/em> (2020) features lesbian character<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The animated movie <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2020\/02\/23\/disney-to-feature-first-lesbian-character-in-movie-onward\/\">features<\/a> a lesbian character \u2014 a Cyclops police officer named Officer Spector, voiced by openly gay actress Lena Waithe. \u201cIt just kind of happened,\u201d the film\u2019s producer, Kori Rae, <a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.yahoo.com\/entertainment\/onward-introduces-first-lgbtq-character-disney-pixar-history-170026105.html?ncid=twitter_yahooenter_qb2vkwfmnkw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">told<\/a> Yahoo Entertainment. \u201cThe scene, when we wrote it, was kind of fitting and it opens up the world a little bit, and that\u2019s what we wanted.\u201d<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p><strong>10. <em>Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker<\/em> (2019) climaxes with lesbian kiss<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The final installment in Disney\u2019s <em>Star Wars<\/em> trilogy culminated with a lesbian kiss between\u00a0Commander Larma D\u2019Acy (Amanda Lawrence) and pilot Wrobie Tyce (Vinette Robinson) after the Resistance defeated the First Order.<\/p>\n<p>As Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2019\/12\/26\/disney-removes-lesbian-kiss-from-star-wars-the-rise-of-skywalker-in-singapore\/\">reported<\/a>, Disney censored the scene in Singapore in compliance with the country\u2019s rules around LGBTQ content.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p><strong>11. Disney Channel\u2019s <em>Andi Mack\u00a0<\/em>series features gay teen kiss<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The coming-of-age drama series\u00a0featured the network\u2019s first gay teenage couple in the series finale that aired in 2019. \u00a0The episode saw 13-year-old Cyrus Goodman confess his feelings for his classmate, TJ Kippen, who appeared to feel the same way.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIs there anything else you want to tell me?\u201d Cyrus asks. \u201cYeah,\u201d TJ says, before asking him the same question..<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYes,\u201d Cyrus responds, as TJ holds his hand before the camera pans away from the romantic fire-lit scene.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p><strong>12. Disney+\u2019s <em>Big Shots <\/em>features lesbian teen kiss\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The family drama series\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2021\/06\/07\/disney-features-teenage-lesbian-kiss-in-family-sports-drama\/\">featured a lesbian kiss<\/a> between teenagers in an episode that aired last year. In the episode,\u00a0Carolyn \u2014 also known as \u201cMouse\u201d in the series \u2014 \u00a0plays a song that she wrote for her female friend Harper, leading the two teens to begin smooching.<\/p>\n<p><strong>13. <em>Beauty and the Beast<\/em> (2017) turned Le Fou (Josh Gad) gay<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Disney\u2019s live-action remake features actor Josh Gad in the role of Le Fou. In an interview, director Bill Condon revealed that Le Fou is gay, though the character never says so explicitly. \u00a0(The character wasn\u2019t gay in the original 1991 animated movie.) \u201cI think it\u2019s great. I think Disney has always been on the forefront there,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p><strong>14\/15. Disney Channel\u2019s <em>Good Luck Charlie\u00a0<\/em><\/strong><strong>and Disney Junior\u2019s <em>Doc McStuffins<\/em> feature lesbian moms<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The two animated series for children have both featured lesbian couples. <em>Good Luck Charlie<\/em> aired an episode in 2014\u00a0in which one of the four children has a playdate with a kid who has two moms.\u00a0<em>Doc McStuffins<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/entertainment\/2017\/08\/09\/disney-preschool-cartoon-features-lesbian-moms\/\">had an episode<\/a>\u00a0in 2017 featuring lesbian moms voiced by openly gay actresses\u00a0Wanda Sykes and Portia de Rossi.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">So proud to be in this episode.
