A Twitter spokesperson confirmed the person has never worked at the company.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Musk, the CEO of Tesla and founder of aerospace manufacturer SpaceX, recently purchased a \u201chefty stake\u201d in Twitter and will be joining the board of directors, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.vanityfair.com\/news\/2022\/04\/twitter-elon-musk-joining-board\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Vanity Fair<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A screen grab shared on Facebook, which has garnered 2,700 reactions, allegedly shows Twitter employee Jackson Mulholland\u2019s response to the Musk news. Mulholland identifies himself as an employee \u201cin charge of developing terms &#038; conditions for users.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">My name is Jackson Mulholland &#038; I\u2019m one of many ppl here working at <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/Twitter?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@Twitter<\/a> in charge of developing terms &#038; conditions for users. We\u2019re not stripping away \u201cfree speech\u201d, we\u2019re protecting users from bullies, bigots, &#038; spam. I refuse to work with or for <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/elonmusk?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@elonmusk<\/a>. I\u2019m resigning\ud83c\udff3\ufe0f\u200d\ud83c\udf08<\/p>\n<p>\u2014 J. I\u2019m resigning.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p>The tweet is not from a legitimate Twitter employee. The Twitter user who shared the tweet, @MulhollandL0ver, identifies the account as \u201cmostly satire\u201d in the account\u2019s bio.
