It\u2019s been a great transition.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe lived in Malibu for many years and having the paparazzi outside our door every day \u2014 every single day \u2014 when that becomes your normal, you don\u2019t realize how much that\u2019s actually affecting the things you do until you actually leave and get out of it,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/matthew-mcconaughey-talks-texas-governor-run-abortion-law-calls-politics-bag-of-rats\">superstar actor\u2019s<\/a> wife continued. \u201cThe kids get to have a private way of growing up. So from that perspective, it was very important.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"instagram-media\" data-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CXcJZBILdaS\/?utm_source=ig_embed&#038;utm_campaign=loading\" data-instgrm-version=\"14\"><\/blockquote>\n<p>Alves recently put out her first children\u2019s book called \u201cJust Try One Bite\u201d which she said isn\u2019t about scolding parents and telling them what to feed their kids. But said instead it\u2019s about comical reversal of roles which puts parents in the position of being the picky eaters who are confronted by their kids.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLook, I\u2019m not here to tell parents how to feed their kids,\u201d Camila explained. \u201cI just want to share the importance of having a connection with food. I\u2019m a big believer that if you start the conversation early on, you are likely setting up your kids with lifelong good habits versus not talking about it all and just going through the motions.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The actor\u2019s wife said their home is just like everyone else\u2019s as the two work together to raise their three children, Levi, 13, Vida, 12, and Livingston, 9.<\/p>\n<p>Alves and the \u201cInterstellar\u201d star tied the knot in 2012 and said even though it is hard to make time for date nights, sometimes the couple just steals away for a minute to reconnect.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSometimes it\u2019s as simple as a staycation,\u201d Camila shared. \u201cOr, \u2018I\u2019m sending the kids over to a family member, so we can stay home and have a drink together.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI have this thing \u2014 we have a tree on our property,\u201d she added. \u201cI sometimes say to Matt, \u2018Let\u2019s meet today before dinner and watch the sunset under the tree.\u2019 We\u2019ll just sit under the tree and have a drink together. It\u2019s about sharing those simple little moments together in between everything that\u2019s going on.
