Joe Manchin (D-WV) has quietly <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/25\/sen-joe-manchin-privately-proposes-revisions-to-build-back-better-bill\/\">discussed<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_19674946\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/media.breitbart.com\/media\/2022\/01\/wi\/ap\/29\/supreme-court-democrats-sen-joe-manchin-va-left-walks-sen-kyrsten-sinema-ariz-sen-patty-murray-wash.jpg\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em>Sen. (AP Photo\/Patrick Semansky)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>However, if Senate Democrats hope to pass any part of Biden\u2019s\u00a0Build Back Better agenda, they would need to have\u00a0Sinema as well as\u00a0Manchin on board since the upper chamber is split evenly 50-50, and their votes are required to pass legislation.<\/p>\n<p>But, after Biden delivered his\u00a0State of the Union address,\u00a0indicating he could be willing to work with Manchin on a smaller package,\u00a0Sinema indicated her view of the framework had not changed. In March, her\u00a0spokesperson said, \u201cAny new, narrow proposal \u2014 including deficit reduction \u2014 already has enough tax reform options to pay for it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese reforms are supported by the White House, target tax avoidance and ensure corporations pay taxes, while not increasing costs on small businesses or everyday Americans already hurting from inflation,\u201d Sinema\u2019s\u00a0spokesperson added.<\/p>\n<p>As Axios reported,\u00a0Sinema\u00a0forced the Biden White House to give up its plan to\u00a0increase the corporate tax rate from 21 percent to 26.5 percent and raise the\u00a0top individual tax rate to 39.5 percent from 37 percent. She did give in to the White House to increase the\u00a0global minimum and domestic tax rate for corporations to 15 percent.<\/p>\n<p><i>Jacob Bliss is a reporter for Breitbart News.
