Chuck Grassley of Iowa and Ron Johnson of Wisconsin released new documents on Monday indicating that President Joe Biden\u2019s son Hunter Biden and his brother James Biden were extensively involved with and profited from business deals with companies that operate on behalf of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and other corrupt regimes. <\/p>\n<p>These new findings support what Grassley and Johnson both documented in their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.finance.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/HSGAC%20-%20Finance%20Joint%20Report%202020.09.23.pdf\">2020 investigation<\/a> into the Biden family\u2019s corruption, but they have yet to catch due attention from the corporate media. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese new records support the findings in our reports from last Congress in September and\u00a0November 2020\u00a0\u2014 reports that the liberal media and our Democratic colleagues said were Russian disinformation,\u201d Grassley said in his address to the Senate floor on Monday. \u201cForget the facts, forget the evidence, forget investigative journalism.\u00a0 The liberal media wanted to provide cover for then-candidate Joe Biden. They did whatever they could to smear our investigation.\u201d <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed alignwide is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<span class=\"BUWNrRTvmsYw3Mq69OBZtbj1ui5SFtCMlAnEq4UKVh6rTYDJAP8S1XCPmyxEkHpgfylefbz\"><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p><\/span>\n<\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Much of the blame for this lack of attention, Johnson added in his floor speech, lies with their Democrat colleagues and the former intelligence officials who penned the sham letter claiming that information discovered on Hunter\u2019s abandoned laptop was Russian disinformation. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cBy casting doubt on evidence of the Bidens\u2019 corrupt practices, these former intelligence officials interfered in the 2020 election to a far greater extent than Russia could have ever hoped to achieve,\u201d Johnson <a href=\"https:\/\/rumble.com\/vzv7c5-senator-johnson-on-senate-floor-4.5.html\">said<\/a>. \u201cTheir willing accomplices in the press amplified this disinformation letter and by doing so were equally guilty of egregious election interference.\u201d <\/p>\n<h2>The Bidens Profited from CCP-Linked Business<\/h2>\n<p>Grassley and Johnson previously established that the Bidens were deeply involved with an energy company controlled by the CCP. As a result, that company, CEFC, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/03\/30\/u-s-senators-reveal-ccp-controlled-company-funneled-millions-to-biden-family-to-represent-spy-chief-of-china\/\">funneled millions<\/a> to Hunter to offer legal representation to the \u201cspy chief of China,\u201d Dr. Patrick Ho Chi-Ping. The same month that money was transferred to Hunter\u2019s company Owasco through a middleman company, Ho was arrested for corruption and bribery.<\/p>\n<p>Ho contacted James when he was arrested, but new documents released by the Republican senators show that Joe Biden\u2019s brother, too, is guilty of receiving vaguely attributed funds from some of communist China\u2019s biggest players.<\/p>\n<p>Combined, James and Hunter\u2019s companies received upwards of $4.8 million from CEFC, \u201can arm of the Chinese government,\u201d\u00a0between August 2017 and September 2018. James\u2019s company Lion Hall Group alone received $1.4 million from CEFC via at least 20 wire transfers from Hunter\u2019s company Owasco, something The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/30\/hunter-biden-china-laptop\/\">Washington Post<\/a> only recently admitted. <\/p>\n<p>In addition to receiving money from CEFC, Hunter and James both profited off of numerous deals with CCP oligarchs and operated companies that shelled out tens of thousands of dollars to communist-connected businesses. <\/p>\n<p>James was named a manager at Hunter\u2019s company Hudson West Three in August 2017. At the time, the agreement designated $100,000 to Hunter and $65,000 to James every month. This lucrative deal was made possible after Northern International, a company with deep connections to communist China partner and <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/11\/28\/chinese-titan-lavished-hunter-biden-with-3-carat-gem-offer-of-30-million\/\">CEFC founder Ye Jianming<\/a>, wired $5 million to Hudson West Three that same month.<\/p>\n<p>At the same time that Hunter\u2019s company Hudson West Three was making payments to a CCP-controlled company, Hunter and James were also receiving wire payments with thousands of dollars. Recently released receipts show Owasco was entitled to several $165,000 wires from Hudson West Three in January of 2018. James\u2019s company The Lion Hall Group also received nearly $18,000 from Hudson West Three the same month that several CEFC wire payments were made. <\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\">\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/cndimages.nyc3.digitaloceanspaces.com\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/06113002\/FCDUK2xkctx-61GFb7x-tXuRk6admYx3MCDxfOkqIhqNZxTAEUKyPSQbi5fQUwX5AjoNJt5EGhzGijzgSpl756rMNAC6mC8MyQ2beeeNecmEgy6kVrBbfppP8z4QNK7h2cPCbWOtVwfsw6Vmswm-cN6uo0HgR4djs0-d-e1-ft\" alt=\"JB.1\" width=\"570\" height=\"347\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Receipts from April 2018 show that Hudson West Three, under the leadership of James and Hunter, wired tens of thousands of funds to Coldharbour Capital. This company was connected to Ye Jianming\u2019s associate Mervyn Yan, who has strong ties to the communist regime in China. <\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese transfers aren\u2019t by accident. There is and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hsgac.senate.gov\/imo\/media\/doc\/2020-08-09%20RHJ%20letter%20re%20Investigation%20history%20purpose%20goals%201805.pdf\">has been<\/a> plenty of evidence suggesting that Joe, James, and Hunter were monetarily involved with multiple foreign oligarchs, especially in Ukraine. <\/p>\n<p>Hunter exploited his father\u2019s political reputation to strike business deals with oligarchs in Ukraine and China, a fact that was apparent even before the laptop emerged. Hunter may have even possibly given a portion of his equity deals to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/hunter-biden-china-email-source-verifies\">his father<\/a>,\u00a0but the legacy press refuses to report on that significance.<\/p>\n<p>Despite Joe\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/03\/31\/wh-claims-biden-didnt-lie-about-hunter-at-debate-despite-reporting\/\">adamancy<\/a> that he knew nothing of his son\u2019s overseas business dealings, documents suggest that the now-president was actively engaged with his son\u2019s business partners during his vice presidency. <\/p>\n<p>Mere months after the Revolution of Dignity in Ukraine in February of 2014, Joe met with Hunter\u2019s business partner Devon Archer at the White House. Days later, Joe jetted off on an official White House trip to Ukraine because he was considered the \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenRonJohnson\/status\/1294645361840132099?s=20&#038;t=Itk1jgX7tlJLyq3LjXHyYQ\">public face of the [Obama] administration\u2019s handling of Ukraine<\/a>.\u201d One day after Joe\u2019s visit to the Eastern European country, Archer was named to the board of Burisma. Less than one week after that, Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky had $23 million from multiple accounts seized by British officials.  <\/p>\n<p>A timeline of the Biden family\u2019s involvement also shows that Hunter\u2019s investment firm Rosemont Seneca Thornton received $3.5 million to \u201cthe corrupt and now-sanctioned wife of the former Mayor of Moscow,\u201d Elena Baturina, at the same time of the revolution. A few months later, Hunter joined the Burisma energy company board despite having no previous experience in the energy sector.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt is quite interesting to see how much significant activity involving the Bidens and corrupt actors in Russia and Ukraine occurred within a six-week period only two months after the Ukrainian Revolution of Dignity.\u00a0 It sure looks like they intended to cash in on the turmoil in Ukraine,\u201d Johnson noted. <\/p>\n<p>Despite these congressional and journalistic findings, the corporate media dismissed any and all allegations against the Bidens as disinformation. The press not only failed to report on these bombshell findings but also refused to ask the president about his suspect involvement with Hunter\u2019s business partner, Burisma, and the CCP-controlled firm that offered Hunter a massive payout. <\/p>\n<p>Even now, after The Washington Post and The New York Times reluctantly admitted that Hunter\u2019s abandoned laptop publicized in 2020 was legitimate, Johnson and Grassley agree that the press is \u201cnot telling the whole truth.\u201d  <\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy guess is that they learned a lot from their coverage of Nixon\u2019s Watergate scandal cover-up.\u00a0 They learned that when you\u2019ve been caught in a cover-up \u2014 and that is what has happened here \u2014 you try to limit the damage by telling a little bit of the truth,\u201d Johnson said. <\/p>\n<p>There is a long list of questions from Johnson and Grassley about whether the Department of Justice and the U.S. intelligence communities have collected information about Hunter, Joe, James, and their communications with elites in countries that are the sworn enemy of the U.S. These questions, however, have gone unanswered for nearly two years. <\/p>\n<p>Despite mounting evidence that the president and his family are deeply entrenched with and financially bound to foreign oligarchs, the Republicans said that the Biden administration has \u201cbeen totally unresponsive to our oversight requests.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\" \/>\n<p>\n  Jordan Boyd is a staff writer at The Federalist and co-producer of The Federalist Radio Hour.
