The only thing at all questionable about his Hunter investigation is why it has taken so long, when the probe actually began long before the last election. Hunter\u2019s bank records on his dealings with the Bank of China, for example, <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/01\/30\/hunter-biden-and-associates-received-2019-subpoena-over-business-deals-in-china\/\">got subpoenaed back in May 2019.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>For the long wait, you have to assume the blame rests with his superiors in Washington. It would\u2019ve been standard procedure to hold off making headlines in the runup to the 2020 vote, but delays since then likely came at the order of central Justice, namely Attorney <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/10\/13\/critical-race-theory-firm-linked-to-ag-garlands-kin-serves-schoolscompany-co-founded-by-ag-garlands-son-in-law-serves-over-20k-schools\/\">General Merrick Garland<\/a> and his top aides.<\/p>\n<p>And that\u2019s where we really start to worry about a finger on the scales of Justice. What if Weiss is ordered to, say, accept a plea bargain that seals all the evidence he\u2019s gathered, no matter where it points?<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Merrick-Garland.jpg\"><\/a><figcaption>Attorney General Merrick Garland has done the White House\u2019s will before.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">EPA\/JIM LO SCALZO<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The pro-Biden press will rush to justify such a move, arguing, <em>Hey, Hunter\u2019s already paid the IRS what he owes, so the case would be hard to win anyway.<\/em> Swept under the rug would be any other crimes, such as lobbying for foreign interests without registering as such \u2014 not to mention all the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/04\/03\/joe-confident-that-hunter-biden-business-dealings-didnt-break-the-law\/\">\u201cbig guy\u201d questions.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Garland himself is usually deemed beyond reproach, but the nation already has clear proof that White House hacks influence his office, and even him.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re talking primarily of Garland\u2019s outrageous press conference last October <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/10\/06\/garland-siccing-fbi-on-moms-is-opposite-of-bidens-unity\/\">siccing the FBI and all US attorneys<\/a> on parents who dare to cross the establishment at local school board meetings. It eventually came out that the whole thing was <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/10\/26\/that-domestic-terror-letter-a-cronys-payoff-and-the-shameless-dems\/\">ginned up<\/a> by a cabal of White House and Department of Education staffers, who got outside activists to write and demand such action, with the staff then getting Garland\u2019s staff to bring him on board.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Ron-Klain-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"683\" src=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/Ron-Klain-2.jpg\" alt=\"Ron Klain, White House chief of staff, listens during a cabinet meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden at the White House  in Washington, D.C., U.S., on Tuesday, July 20, 2021.\" class=\"wp-image-21789138\" srcset=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Ron-Klain-2.jpg?quality=75&#038;strip=all&#038;w=1536 1536w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Ron-Klain-2.jpg?quality=75&#038;strip=all 1024w, https:\/\/nypost.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2022\/04\/Ron-Klain-2.jpg?quality=75&#038;strip=all&#038;w=512 512w\" \/><\/a><figcaption>White House chief of staff Ron Klain clearly knows about Hunter Biden\u2019s lucrative schemes.<\/figcaption><figcaption><span class=\"credit\">Al Drago\/UPI<\/span><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Even then, the AG <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2021\/11\/17\/proof-that-ag-garland-misled-congress-about-silencing-parents-who-dissent\/\">proceeded to dissemble<\/a>, telling Congress that Justice had never actually used counterterror tools to target parents, when in fact the FBI had asked agents to \u201capply\u201d a \u201cthreat tag\u201d and \u201ctrack\u201d threats against school officials.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s easy to imagine White House demands for Garland to leash and muzzle Weiss: Chief of staff Ron Klain, for example, last weekend<a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/04\/03\/joe-confident-that-hunter-biden-business-dealings-didnt-break-the-law\/\"> told the nation<\/a>, \u201cThe president\u2019s confident that his son didn\u2019t break the law,\u201d when it turns out that <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/04\/05\/klain-solicited-funds-from-hunter-biden-in-2012-report\/\">Klain himself asked Hunter<\/a> for donations to help out the then-veep back in 2012, which suggests he knows full well that Joe has long relied on Hunter\u2019s dubiously gotten gains.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019ve <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/02\/01\/appoint-a-special-counsel-on-hunter-biden-now\/\">said before<\/a> that Garland and his entire office should be cut out of the case, with a special counsel named to oversee it.
