Agrait told the Intercept. \u201cThis particular program has not been approved yet and may change significantly or even never launch at all.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Late last year, Amazon held a meeting where top executives talked about creating an internal social media app that would allow employees to praise their co-workers\u2019 performance by giving them \u201cShout-Outs,\u201d a source told the Intercept.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The goal of the Shout-Outs was\u00a0foster happiness and productivity among Amazon employees, according to Head of Worldwide Consumer Business Dave Clark.<\/p>\n<p>But Amazon officials also discussed what they called \u201cthe dark side of social media,\u201d and therefore decided to actively monitor posts in order to ensure a \u201cpositive community.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>So an \u201cauto bad word monitor\u201d was put together, which included a blacklist that would automatically block employees from sending a message that contains profane or inappropriate words.<\/p>\n<p>But profanities were not the only words added to the blacklist, reports the Intercept.<\/p>\n<p>Some of the other words and terms to be added to the blacklist included the following, according to documents reviewed by the outlet:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Accessibility<br \/>Bullying<br \/>Coalition<br \/>Committee<br \/>Compensation<br \/>Stupid<br \/>Terminated<br \/>This is concerning<br \/>This is dumb<br \/>Threat<br \/>TOT<br \/>Trash<br \/>Unfair<br \/>Union<br \/>Unite\/unity<br \/>Vaccine<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Amazon, however, denies that \u201cmany\u201d of the words mentioned would be blocked on the internal messaging app.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf it does launch at some point down the road, there are no plans for many of the words you\u2019re calling out to be screened,\u201d the Amazon spokesperson insisted. \u201cThe only kinds of words that may be screened are ones that are offensive or harassing, which is intended to protect our team.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Last week, Amazon workers at a warehouse in Staten Island, New York, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/tech\/2022\/04\/01\/amazon-workers-on-staten-island-vote-to-form-companys-first-union\/\">voted to unionize<\/a> \u2014 a first for the company.<\/p>\n<p><em>You
