Matt Gaetz argued that President Joe Biden is in a state of decline that\u2019s concerning for the nation, highlighting a string of recent gaffes from the president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYou lay out a sequence of events that aren\u2019t really demonstrative of a flawed policy choice so much as a man who is in decline,\u201d Gaetz said in an exclusive interview with the Daily Caller. \u201cSometimes when folks get to a certain point they might have flashes where they are as good as they once were but they are sort of unable to sustain that in a way that the leader of the free world ought to be able to.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>WATCH:<\/strong><\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>\u201cWhether it was the gaffe on regime change, which really makes it a lot harder to deescalate the conflict, whether it was insisting to the 82nd Airborne that they were going to Ukraine and then the notion that we would respond in kind to weapons of mass destruction, we\u2019ve signed treaties saying we wouldn\u2019t use chemical weapons against other countries, so I think that when you look at all of that together, you\u2019re seeing a picture of someone who is really having a hard time in these crucible moments,\u201d Gaetz said. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/28\/emmanuel-macron-joe-biden-vladimir-putin-regime-change\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Biden\u2019s Call For Regime Change In Russia Unsettles Our Closest Allies)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Biden was forced to walk back <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/04\/01\/kamala-harris-walks-back-bidens-regime-change-dodge-question\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">comments<\/a> in late March after he said Russian President Vladimir Putin \u201ccannot remain in power.\u201d The White House <a href=\"https:\/\/dailycaller.com\/2022\/03\/27\/joe-biden-says-he-wasnt-calling-regime-change-russia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">quickly walked back<\/a> his comments, with an official saying the president \u201cwas not discussing Putin\u2019s power in Russia, or regime change\u201d and that Biden\u2019s \u201cpoint was that Putin cannot be allowed to exercise power over his neighbors or the region.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden told a reporter \u201cno\u201d when asked if he was calling for regime change.<\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Republican Florida Rep.
