Trump has since launched a social media platform of his own, Truth Social, but it has been beset by <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/04\/04\/two-key-execs-quit-donald-trumps-social-media-app-report\/\">technical glitches and departures of key executives<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now pro-Trump voices are calling on Musk to burnish his pro-free speech credentials and to bring back the former president.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow that @ElonMusk is Twitter\u2019s largest shareholder, it\u2019s time to lift the political censorship,\u201d Rep. They pushed off a lot of conservatives. Do you believe Twitter rigorously adheres to this principle?\u201d he tweeted.<\/p>\n<p>The next day, Musk took it a step further, writing: \u201cGiven that Twitter serves as the de facto public town square, failing to adhere to free speech principles fundamentally undermines democracy.
