The figure is considerably higher than the same three-month period in 2021 when five people were killed in shootings.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>In 2021, which saw a total of 47 fatal shootings for the entire year, it took until the month of May to reach 17 fatal shootings. 2021 was tried with 2020 for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2022\/01\/01\/fatal-shootings-in-sweden-remain-at-record-high-levels-in-2021\/\">record number of fatal shootings<\/a> in Sweden since statistics began and the country has seen over 40 fatal shootings per year since 2017.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Swedish Police: New Gang Culture Emerged from Second-Generation Migrants <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/2hFALwfo9e\">https:\/\/t.co\/2hFALwfo9e<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartLondon\/status\/1312696714986360832?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 4, 2020<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The number of shootings, lethal or otherwise, has also increased so far this year.
