Yet the <em>Bee<\/em> asks, \u201cBut what else can California\u2019s lawmakers do to restrict guns that they haven\u2019t already done \u2014 and have their laws survive the inevitable challenge by Second Amendment advocates?\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>California already has more stringent gun controls that any state in the Union; Michael Bloomberg-affiliated Everytown for Gun Safety\u00a0<a class=\"x5l\" href=\"https:\/\/www.everytown.org\/state\/california\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">ranks<\/a>\u00a0California number one for \u201cGun Law Strength.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/31\/ca-lawmakers-reject-bill-requiring-parents-to-report-gun-ownership\/\">has noted<\/a> that California has universal background checks, an \u201cassault weapons\u201d ban, a \u201chigh capacity\u201d magazine ban, a red flag law, gun registration requirements, a 10-day waiting period on gun purchases, a limit on the number of guns a law-abiding citizen can buy each month, a \u201cgood cause\u201d requirement for concealed carry permit issuance, a ban on \u201cghost guns\u201d that lack a serial number, a background check requirement for ammunition purchases, and numerous other controls.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Bee<\/em> notes that 15 gun controls have been signed into law in California just since Gov.
