In the book, Martin and Burns report that Biden has a hypercritical view of Fox News and Fox Corporation founder Rupert Murdoch, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/amp.cnn.com\/cnn\/2022\/04\/03\/media\/reliable-sources-biden-murdoch-fox-news\/index.html\">CNN<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Murdoch, Biden told an associate last year according to the book, is \u201cthe most dangerous man in the world.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Biden has not spoken directly about his feelings about Fox News or Murdoch publicly, according to CNN. The outlet reported:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>The book describes Fox as a \u201ctorrent of anti-Biden programming, stoking skepticism about vaccines and disseminating wild conspiracy theories about the January 6 attack.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>Many Biden allies have denounced Fox for those reasons and have blamed Rupert Murdoch and his son Lachlan, the company\u2019s CEO, for enabling hosts like Tucker Carlson.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But Biden has never spoken about either Murdoch in public, according to the Factba.se database of the president\u2019s speeches, interviews, tweets and other public statements. So the comment in \u201cThis Will Not Pass\u201d may make waves.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Last month, Politico reported other snippets from the upcoming book, revealing turbulent moments in Biden\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/a-sign-of-disrespect-new-book-claims-vp-wanted-bidens-staff-to-stand-whenever-she-walked-in\/\">relationship with his vice president<\/a>, Kamala Harris. Early in the Biden administration, Harris complained about her assignments putting her in impossible situations, according to the book. As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/newsletters\/playbook\/2022\/03\/22\/friction-between-harris-and-biden-camps-revealed-in-new-book-00019145\">Politico<\/a> reported:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><strong><em>Harris allies complained throughout the first year<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0of the administration that she was\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/newsletters\/west-wing-playbook\/2021\/10\/08\/major-harris-surrogate-goes-full-dgaf-494646\">handed an impossible portfolio<\/a>. According to the book,\u00a0<strong>KATE BEDINGFIELD,<\/strong>\u00a0Biden\u2019s comms director, not only grew tired of the criticism that the White House was mismanaging Harris \u2014 she blamed the VP.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cIn private, Bedingfield had taken to noting that the vice presidency was not the first time<\/em><\/strong><em>\u00a0in Harris\u2019s political career that she had fallen short of sky-high expectations: Her Senate office had been messy and her presidential campaign had been a fiasco. Perhaps, she suggested, the problem was not the vice president\u2019s staff,\u201d Martin and Burns write.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>\u201cThe fact that no one working on this book bothered to call<\/em><\/strong><em> to fact check this unattributed claim tells you what you need to know,\u201d Bedingfield responded in an email Monday night. \u201cVice President Harris is a force in this administration and I have the utmost respect for the work she does every day to move the country forward.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In another snippet, Biden\u2019s wife, Jill, is said to have <a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/new-book-claims-jill-biden-didnt-want-harris-as-vp-why-do-we-have-to-choose-the-one-who-attacked-joe\/\">lobbied against<\/a> Biden picking Harris as his vice president during the 2020 campaign.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSpeaking in confidence with a close adviser to her husband\u2019s campaign, the future First lady posed a pointed question,\u201d the book says. \u201cThere are millions of people in the United States, she began. Why, she asked, do we have to choose the one who attacked Joe?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Jill Biden\u2019s spokesman, Michael Larosa, responded to the excerpt with a statement saying the first lady was not going to respond.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMany books will be written on the 2020 campaign, with countless retellings of events \u2014 some accurate, some inaccurate.
