Now, the word \u201cfemale\u201d has been <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/minutes\/congress\/04-4-2022\/Jacksons-week\/\"><span>added<\/span><\/a><span> after the word \u201cBlack.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Their article still says KBJ will be the \u201cfirst black SCOTUS\u201d <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gkN8c2jpxH\">https:\/\/t.co\/gkN8c2jpxH<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/VAyvIp50Lr\">pic.twitter.com\/VAyvIp50Lr<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Caleb Hull (@CalebJHull) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CalebJHull\/status\/1510995092085125124?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 4, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cCorrection: This minute has been corrected to reflect that Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson would be the first Black female Supreme Court justice,\u201d admitted a correction at the bottom of the article.<\/p>\n<p><span>Thurgood Marshall \u2014 who served on the nation\u2019s highest court from October 1967 to October 1991 \u2014 was the first black Supreme Court justice in American history. Marshall was succeeded by Clarence Thomas, another African-American, in 1991. Thomas \u2014 a constitutional originalist who typically votes with the court\u2019s conservative bloc \u2014 still serves today as an associate justice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Despite Politico\u2019s correction, Jackson went <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/im-not-a-biologist-supreme-court-nominee-says-she-cant-define-the-word-woman\"><span>viral<\/span><\/a><span> last month for failing to provide a definition for the word \u201cwoman\u201d when pressed by Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) during a confirmation hearing.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cCan you provide a definition for the word \u2018woman\u2019?\u201d Blackburn asked.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cCan I provide a definition?\u201d Jackson repeated.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cMmhmm, yeah,\u201d Blackburn confirmed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI can\u2019t,\u201d Jackson replied.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cYou can\u2019t?\u201d Blackburn asked.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cNot \u2014 in this context, I\u2019m not a biologist,\u201d Jackson laughed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cSo you believe the meaning of the word \u2018woman\u2019 is so unclear and controversial that you can\u2019t give me a definition?\u201d Blackburn continued to press.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cSenator, in my work as a judge, what I do is I address disputes,\u201d Jackson pushed back, suggesting that she could only provide a decision based on arguments and the law. \u201cIf there is a dispute about a definition, people make arguments and I look at the law and I decide, so \u2014 I\u2019m not \u2014\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe fact that you can\u2019t give me a straight answer about something as fundamental as what a woman is underscores the dangers of the kind of progressive education that we are hearing about,\u201d Blackburn continued.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Progressive erasure of Clarence Thomas is a frequent occurrence. After the Supreme Court notified the public that Thomas had been admitted to the hospital with flu-like symptoms, many leftists on social media <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/i-sure-hope-a-certain-thing-happens-left-targets-clarence-thomas-after-reported-illness\"><span>hinted<\/span><\/a><span> that they wanted the 73-year-old to pass away.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Last year, State Rep. Donna McLeod (D-GA) <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/georgia-democrat-id-rather-them-keep-a-confederate-monument-than-a-statue-of-clarence-thomas\"><span>said<\/span><\/a><span> that she would rather \u201ckeep a Confederate monument than a statue of Clarence Thomas.\u201d The remarks were made in reaction to Georgia Republicans pushing for a statue of Thomas, who originally hails from the state.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>During his confirmation hearings for the Supreme Court in 1991, Thomas was infamously targeted during his Supreme Court confirmation process led by then-Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) and Sen. Ted Kennedy (D-MA) over accusations of sexual impropriety against a colleague, Anita Hill.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThis is a circus. It\u2019s a national disgrace,\u201d Thomas <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/breaking-justice-clarence-thomas-hospitalized-with-infection-friday-night\"><span>fired back<\/span><\/a><span>. \u201cAnd from my standpoint, as a black American, it is a high-tech lynching for uppity blacks who in any way deign to think for themselves, to do for themselves, to have different ideas, and it is a message that unless you kowtow to an old order, this is what will happen to you.
