Ted Cruz said that Ketanji Brown Jackson will be the most liberal justice to ever serve on the Supreme Court if confirmed by the Senate.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz shared the comment on Twitter on Monday alongside a link to an interview on Fox News\u2019 \u201cLife, Liberty &#038; Levin.\u201d<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">If confirmed, Ketanji Brown Jackson will be the most liberal Justice to ever serve on the Supreme Court. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/okrsikqKeq\">pic.twitter.com\/okrsikqKeq<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Senator Ted Cruz (@SenTedCruz) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/SenTedCruz\/status\/1510787807048052741?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">April 4, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019ve known Judge Jackson for 30 years. We were in law school together. We were both on the Law Review for Harvard. Personally speaking, she is very bright, she is very charming, she is very affable,\u201d Cruz said in the video.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cHer substantive record is dramatically to the Left. If she is confirmed, she will be the most liberal justice of all nine, and she will be the most liberal justice to have ever served on the U.S. Supreme Court, and that will have enormous consequences across the entire range,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Cruz also highlighted some of the areas in which he believes Jackson\u2019s views will have consequences for Americans, calling her record a \u201cconsistent left-wing radical approach.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt will have enormous consequences for free speech. It will have enormous consequences for religious liberty. It will have enormous consequences for the Second Amendment. Her record shows a consistent left-wing radical approach,\u201d he told Levin.<\/p>\n<p>During Jackson\u2019s Senate hearings, Cruz strongly challenged the judge in numerous areas, including her apparent support of the controversial 1619 Project.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMiss Hannah Jones in her 1619 Project describes the central thesis of the 1619 Project, which The New York Times laid out as a revisionist look of history, revising American history, and Miss Hannah-Jones described her central thesis as quote, \u2018one of the primary reasons the colonists decided to declare independence was because they wanted to protect the institution of slavery,\u2019\u201d Cruz <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cruz.senate.gov\/newsroom\/press-releases\/sen-cruz-on-judge-ketanji-brown-jackson-i-see-a-record-of-activism-and-advocacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">asked<\/a> Jackson.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cNow that claim is a highly contested historical claim. Do you agree with Miss Hannah-Jones that one of the primary reasons the colonists decided to declare independence is because they wanted to protect the institution of slavery?\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The Texas senator also challenged Jackson regarding her lenient sentences of child pornography offenders.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cDo you believe in a case like <em>United States v. Hawkins<\/em>, where the prosecutor asked for 24 months and you sentenced the offender to only three months, do you believe the voice of the children is heard when 100% of the time you\u2019re sentencing those in possession of child pornography to far below what the prosecutor is asking for?\u201d he asked.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson also said during the Senate hearings that she could not provide a definition for the word \u201cwoman.\u201d The Daily Wire <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/im-not-a-biologist-supreme-court-nominee-says-she-cant-define-the-word-woman\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">reported<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p><em>Jackson, who appeared before the Senate Judiciary Committee for her second day of confirmation hearings, pushed back on the question from Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) and said that it was not in her purview as a judge to\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/dailywire.com\/news\/watch-matt-walsh-stumps-lgbt-activist-on-dr-phil-show-what-is-a-woman\/\">provide an answer<\/a> to that.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">BLACKBURN: \u201cCan you define \u2018woman\u2019?\u201d <\/p>\n<p>JACKSON: \u201cI\u2019m not a biologist.
