From day one of his administration, he has failed to protect our nation\u2019s security and to secure the border,\u201d McCarthy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.republicanleader.gov\/mccarthy-president-biden-will-own-the-calamity-caused-by-ending-title-42\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wrote<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday, Biden\u2019s border crisis is worse than ever, but the president has decided to eliminate yet another vital tool: Title 42. This decision is wrong and will invite a lawless surge of illegal border crossings to enrich human traffickers and overwhelm border patrol.\u00a0 This will inflict suffering, pain, and tragedy throughout our country. Make no mistake, the President will own the calamity his policies have created,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>McCarthy\u2019s statement also reported that under the Biden-Harris administration, a record high of more than 2.5 million migrants have been encountered at our southern border. It further shared the concern that U.S. Customs and Border Patrol Chief Raul Ortiz is <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/national-security\/599735-border-patrol-head-expects-record-breaking-surge-of-migrants-at-us\/\">sounding<\/a> the alarm that the U.S. should expect at least 7,000 daily border encounters.<\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, the House minority leader also shared an interview with Fox News regarding the issue, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/mccarthy-biden-abidicated-responsibilities-border-title-42-repeal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">arguing<\/a> that Biden has \u201cabdicated his responsibilities at our border.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRepublicans sounded the alarm on the Biden Border Crisis over a year ago, and things have only been getting worse.
