(BRENDAN SMIALOWSKI\/AFP via Getty Images)<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cTwelve years ago, I proudly stood beside President Barack Obama as he signed into law the most consequential expansion of health care in generations: the Affordable Care Act,\u201d Biden said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/administration\/599421-white-house-celebrates-12-years-since-signing-of-affordable-care-act\/\">statement<\/a>\u00a0marking the anniversary of the policy.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cWith the stroke of a pen \u2014 after decades of tireless efforts \u2014 millions of Americans gained peace of mind. And because of my Administration\u2019s efforts, including passing the landmark American Rescue Plan, we have lowered health care costs and made coverage more accessible than ever before \u2014 even amid a global pandemic,\u201d the president added.<\/p>\n<p>House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) has already revealed she believes her greatest accomplishment in the political realm is Obamacare, as Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/clips\/2021\/06\/03\/pelosi-my-greatest-accomplishment-is-obamacare-enabled-millions-of-people-to-have-access-to-quality-affordable-care\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Whether or not Biden feels the same way remains to be seen.<\/p>\n<p>Last year\u00a0the president said his Build Back Better plan was a bigger deal than Obama\u2019s Affordable Care Act, as Breitbart News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/clips\/2021\/10\/21\/biden-my-build-back-better-plan-is-a-bigger-deal-than-obamacare\/\">reported<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Biden outlined why he backed his plan against Obama\u2019s, telling an interviewer: \u201cIt is bigger because \u2014 not because what he did wasn\u2019t enormous, he broke the ice, enormous.
