And if we went to a white person\u2019s home, and it was their family dinner, and we were sitting at the table, and the mother hauled off and slapped the father. And everybody at the table has an opinion. You know, the sister is like, \u2018Mom, you always do this.\u2019 And the brother is like, \u2018I can\u2019t believe you\u2019re doing this.\u2019 And Dad is like, \u2018You\u2019re terrible.\u2019 If I weigh in as the guest in this home and I say, \u2018Yeah, you guys are terrible.\u2019 Everybody\u2019s like, \u2018I\u2019m sorry. When did you get an opinion? This is our family table.&#8217;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>She added, \u201cThat\u2019s what this moment felt like for many of us.
