One group was pelted with eggs Monday afternoon standing outside the Goddard Hall dorm on Washington Square East,\u201d the <em>New York Post<\/em> reported on Saturday.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>A guide who spoke with the <em>Post<\/em> said visitors were not happy with the situation.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cYou can see them visibly disgusted and say \u2018I don\u2019t want to apply here, I don\u2019t want to apply here because I feel unsafe,&#8217;\u201d the guide explained.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, New York City officials <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/news\/nyc-planning-to-remove-homeless-encampments-from-streets\/\">planned<\/a> to remove shelters set up by the homeless, the Associated Press (AP) reported on March 26:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Mayor Eric Adams disclosed the initiative in an interview with The New York Times on Friday, but provided few details. It comes a month after he announced a push to remove homeless people from the city\u2019s sprawling subway system in response to assaults and other aggressive behavior.<\/p>\n<p>\u2026<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<div class=\"entry-content\">\n<blockquote>\n<p>An increasing number of cities across the country including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Seattle and Washington, D.C., have been removing encampments and taking other steps to address homelessness that would have been unheard of years ago.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>Last week, Adams <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=TfiJzYVI2rQ\">highlighted<\/a>\u00a0the bad conditions at homeless encampments crews had discovered while clearing the camps. One photo showed a pile of needles amongst other debris, Pix 11 reported:<\/p>\n[embedded content]\n<p>\u201cFive-hundred hypodermic needles, 500. Living like this,\u201d he told listeners.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>Per the\u00a0<em>Post<\/em> article, guides lead groups around campus but veered away from Washington Square Park.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe park has been a nexus of drug dealing, out of control parties,\u00a0unsanctioned boxing matches and violence in the last year.
