I assume the president has had no contact with the Justice Department about that?\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>Klain said, \u201cNeither the president nor any of us at the White House has had contact with the Justice Department about that.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>Stephanopoulos asked, \u201cIs the president confident Hunter Biden didn\u2019t break the law?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Klain said, \u201cOf course, the president is confident that his son didn\u2019t break the law. But most importantly, as I said, that\u2019s a matter that\u2019s going to be decided by the Justice Department, by the legal process. It\u2019s something that no one at the White House has involvement in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Stephanopoulos said, \u201cThe Washington Post also reported on deals that Hunter Biden had with the Chinese energy company. They paid 4.8 million dollars to entities controlled by Hunter and the president\u2019s brother. Is the president confident his family didn\u2019t cross any ethical lines?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Klain said, \u201cGeorge, the president is confident his family did the right thing. Again, I want to be clear. These are actions by Hunter and his brother. They\u2019re private matters. They don\u2019t involve the president.
