Then we have to deal with it honestly.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBut I don\u2019t think so. It will be fought over until the last hour,\u201d he also said.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\u2018Held Hostage by These People\u2019 \u2013 German Health Minister Denounces Unjabbed, Demands Vax Mandate<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gQlSEmEa5S\">https:\/\/t.co\/gQlSEmEa5S<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Breitbart London (@BreitbartLondon) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/BreitbartLondon\/status\/1504527738329198593?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 17, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>While Lauterbach is seemingly maintaining hope that forced vaccination for all over-18s will come into effect in Germany, such a measure now appears less likely to come to pass, with\u00a0<em>Der Spiegel<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.spiegel.de\/politik\/deutschland\/coronapandemie-plaene-fuer-corona-impfpflicht-ab-18-jahren-sind-gescheitert-a-6e6e5d77-8943-4c43-92e0-8f449324ee03\">reporting<\/a> that the support for such a move now simply does not exist in Germany\u2019s parliament.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>However, this does not mean that the country\u2019s unjabbed are out of the woods just yet, with another forced vax measure being considered by many in parliament which would compel all those aged 50 and over to receive a COVID-19 vaccination, as in Italy.<\/p>\n<p>Forced masking is another lockdown rule that remains prominent in Germany, and while the requirements to wear such face coverings are being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bild.de\/regional\/dresden\/dresden-aktuell\/corona-heute-fallen-fast-alle-regeln-was-jetzt-noch-in-sachsen-gilt-79635652.bild.html\">dropped<\/a> at a national level from Sunday, many parts of the country will still require their use.<\/p>\n<p>Support for forced mask-wearing also remains <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bild.de\/news\/inland\/news-inland\/corona-news-im-live-ticker-alle-nachrichten-zu-covid-19-77205864.bild.html\">popular<\/a> among the general German population.
