A lower New York court\u00a0threw out\u00a0the state\u2019s newly drawn Democrat-designed gerrymandered map because it\u00a0violated the state\u2019s constitutional redistricting process. The huge ruling for Republicans will be appealed to the Court of Appeals, the state\u2019s top court.<\/p>\n<p>If the ruling is upheld on appeal, New York state lawmakers may pass the June primary deadline for the creation of a second map. The judge ordered state legislators to draw new maps with bipartisan support by April 11.<\/p>\n<p>The\u00a0gerrymandered map was originally\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/05\/republican-lawsuit-accuses-ny-democrats-of-gerrymandering-maps-as-15-assembly-republicans-legitimized-brazen-process\/\">designed<\/a>\u00a0in January with the aid of 15 Assembly Republicans who legitimized the redistricting process the court found unconstitutional. The 15 Assembly Republicans have been criticized for enabling the map in return for protection from being\u00a0gerrymandered out of the state legislature.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cAlbany Democrats violated the New York State Constitution and drew egregious, unfair, and unconstitutional lines to benefit Democrat elected officials,\u201d Stefanik said of the gerrymandered process.<\/p>\n<p>President of the New York Young Republican Club Gavin Wax told Breitbart News on Friday there \u201cwas no excuse\u201d for the 15 Republicans to enable the Democrat map. \u201cThat fact that a court in deep blue New York ruled that these maps were unconstitutional and illegal show how out of touch the 15 Assembly Republicans who voted for the state maps were,\u201d\u00a0Wax said.<\/p>\n<p>Nationwide, Republicans have struggled to amount redistricting wins. Senior editor of The Cook Political Report David Wasserman has noted that Democrats are dominating the redistricting battle that Republicans were expected to handily win. But Republicans have turned soft in many states, such as\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?client=internal-element-cse&#038;cx=partner-pub-9229289037503472:6795176714&#038;q=https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/10\/missouri-governor-prepping-to-cave-to-pelosi-7-1-gop-redistricted-map-in-doubt\/&#038;sa=U&#038;ved=2ahUKEwiug7WL6Ov2AhXhYd8KHbrICSQQFnoECAcQAg&#038;usg=AOvVaw3fKFxdyGhvHRt28_brn1e9\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Missouri<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/midterm-election\/2022\/02\/08\/kansas-four-senate-republicans-side-with-democrat-governor-on-redistricting-map\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kansas<\/a>,\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Alabama<\/a>, Pennsylvania, and other states that have gone to court and lost against the Democrat\u00a0<a class=\"editor-rtfLink\" href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/05\/republicans-defeated-eric-holders-nationwide-gerrymandering-plot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">redistricting machine<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>With the\u00a0Democrat\u2019s redistricting\u00a0machine\u00a0powered by former President Barack Obama\u2019s one-time attorney general, Eric Holder, the establishment media have even taken notice of how \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/nymag.com\/intelligencer\/2021\/12\/democrats-are-doing-weirdly-well-in-redistricting.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener external\">weirdly well<\/a>\u201d Democrats are performing in their redistricting efforts.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_9321175\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a so slightly, in the\u00a0<em>Democrats\u2019<\/em>\u00a0favor,\u201d the\u00a0<em>New York Magazine\u00a0<\/em>reported in December.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the GOP\u2019s National Republican Redistricting Trust, which had been led by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/11\/exclusive-karl-rove-under-fire-for-redistricting-failures-hes-costing-republicans-all-over-the-country\/\">Karl Rove<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/02\/24\/donald-trump-jr-christie-more-focused-twinkies-he-jams-his-face-redistricting-battles\/\">Chris Christie<\/a>, has been\u00a0criticized for its inability to stop the Democrat machine.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Christie was half as focused on redistricting as he\u2019s been on his future failing presidential campaign or the box of Twinkies he jams in his face each morning, then maybe Republicans would be in better shape today,\u201d\u00a0Donald Trump Jr. said of Christie\u2019s failures.<\/p>\n<p>A national Republican strategist told Breitbart News that\u00a0\u201cKarl Rove has been asleep at the wheel throughout the redistricting process.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s clear Karl Rove has lost a step, and it\u2019s costing Republicans all
