A visibly upset Todd ranted that, \u201cIt is not about the media.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Todd asked Cramer about former President Trump\u2019s wild suggestion that brutal Russian dictator Vladimir Putin provide information on Hunter Biden \u2013 who is already under federal criminal investigation for his suspicious foreign business dealings: \u201cWhy would you want to trust anything? Why would we want to have Putin at all and why would you want to trust anything Putin had to say about Hunter Biden?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cramer replied by pointing out: <strong>\u201cWell, it\u2019s sort of interesting because Russian collusion \u2013 we were going to believe everything that was coming out of Russia a few years ago when it was about Donald Trump.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In fact, NBC News actually <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/blogs\/business\/joseph-vazquez\/2020\/10\/27\/nbc-news-pushes-story-citing-putin-discredit-hunter-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published an article in October of 2020<\/a> that cited Putin in an attempt to knock down the Hunter Biden story. The headline read: \u201cPutin rejects Trump\u2019s criticism of Hunter Biden\u2019s business.\u201d On Twitter, the network promoted the piece by touting: \u201cRussian President Putin says he saw nothing criminal in Hunter Biden\u2019s past business ties with Ukraine or Russia, marking out his disagreement with one of President Trump\u2019s attack lines in the U.S. presidential election.\u201d \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Reiterating Todd\u2019s question, \u201cwhy would you want to trust anything Putin had to say about Hunter Biden?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cramer rightfully proceeded to call Putin a \u201cwar criminal\u201d who could not be trusted to provide evidence about anything. However, as Todd kept trying belabor the topic, Cramer had enough of the focus on the former president versus the scandal swirling around the son of the current commander in chief: <strong>\u201cChuck, here\u2019s the reality. If Hunter Biden\u2019s name was Donald Trump Jr. or Eric Trump, you guys would be treating the war in Ukraine like it was a boy scout camp gone bad \u2013 \u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>At that point, Todd completely lost it: <strong>\u201cDon\u2019t what-about, enough of this. That is the \u2013 Senator, that is the laziest attack. It is not about the media.\u201d<\/strong> Cramer interjected: <strong>\u201cIt\u2019s also honest.\u201d<\/strong> Todd wailed: <strong>\u201cIt doesn\u2019t matter about the media.\u201d<\/strong><br \/>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<br \/>Cramer hit back:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Well, what the former president is doing is nothing compared to what the current president is doing in this circumstance. That\u2019s really the bigger issue. Donald Trump is Donald Trump. He hasn\u2019t changed, he\u2019s not going to change. It\u2019s more interesting to the Washington press corps than it is to the general public. Was it the wisest thing in the world to say? Perhaps not, but he\u2019s Donald Trump and he says these things.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>An exasperated Todd continued his tantrum: <strong>\u201cLook, I\u2019m not going to debate you about whether Trump gets too much coverage or not enough.<\/strong> But he is the leader of your party, sir. At the end of the day, whether you like it or not, he\u2019s the leader of your party.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Cramer again hammered the glaring double standard in the leftist press: <strong>\u201cI\u2019m way more concerned, and I think the American people are, with the current president and his behavior and really the lack of scrutiny of it compared to a former president<\/strong> who has a long history of saying sort of outrageous things&#8230;\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It wasn\u2019t until Thursday evening that NBC News <a href=\"https:\/\/newsbusters.org\/blogs\/nb\/kevin-tober\/2022\/03\/31\/abc-cbs-move-hunter-biden-scandals-nbc-cleans-their-mess\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">finally provided serious coverage<\/a> of Hunter Biden being under federal criminal investigation. Earlier in the week, the network finally uttered Hunter Biden\u2019s name after <a href=\"https:\/\/newsbusters.org\/blogs\/nb\/scott-whitlock\/2022\/03\/30\/261-days-later-nbc-finally-mentions-hunter-bidens-name\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">failing to do so for 261 days<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><em>Todd\u2019s freak-out was sponsored by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrc.org\/conservatives-fight-back\/advertiser\/progressive\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Progressive<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mrc.org\/conservatives-fight-back\/advertiser\/intuit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Intuit<\/a>. Why would you want that information? Why would you trust propaganda from somebody who is, you know, right now based on the conversation I had earlier, President Biden called for him to be removed from power? Why would you want to trust anything? Why would we want to have Putin at all and why would you want to trust anything Putin had to say about Hunter Biden?<\/p>\n<p>SEN. KEVIN CRAMER [R-ND]: Well, it\u2019s sort of interesting because Russian collusion \u2013 we were going to believe everything that was coming out of Russia a few years ago when it was about Donald Trump. But that said, my answer to the question was more sarcastic than it was anything because I said, this is a war criminal that he\u2019s suggesting provides evidence that there&#8217;s been a crime committed by Hunter Biden and by the Bidens.<\/p>\n<p>TODD: So you think the former president \u2013 so what you\u2019re saying is that was sarcasm, you believe the former president shouldn\u2019t be \u2013 I mean, I\u2019m sorry, it comes across as almost a bit unpatriotic to ask literally the enemy of the free world right now for propaganda for a political opponent. I mean, it just seemed like a horrendous thing to do by the former president. No?<\/p>\n<p>CRAMER: Chuck, here\u2019s the reality. If Hunter Biden\u2019s name was Donald Trump Jr. or Eric Trump, you guys would be treating the war in Ukraine like it was a boy scout camp gone bad \u2013 \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>TODD: Don\u2019t what-about, enough of this. If he had actual evidence that a crime was committed, if any of us had evidence that a crime was committed, we ought to present it, that\u2019s obvious. The problem is, to your point, the source would not be a trustworthy source, obviously. But once again Donald Trump baited you all and you all took the bait. And now we\u2019re having to \u2013 you know, now we\u2019re having a discussion about the Bidens. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>TODD: Look, I\u2019m not going to debate you about whether Trump gets too much coverage or not enough. But he is the leader of your party, sir. At the end of the day, whether you like it or not, he\u2019s the leader of your party. Are you comfortable with the leader of your party playing footsie with Vladimir Putin?<\/p>\n<p>CRAMER: Well, here\u2019s what I know. Playing footsie with Vladimir Putin, the evidence that has come out of the recent investigation shows that there\u2019s evidence the Democrats fed information into the White House to plant false evidence that he colluded with the President. You\u2019re never interested in those things.<\/p>\n<p>TODD: Okay, again, does that make what Donald Trump did \u2013 how does that make what Donald Trump is doing somehow better?<\/p>\n<p>CRAMER: Well, first of all, it doesn\u2019t necessarily make it better, but he\u2019s a former president. We have a current president who has called for regime changes in Russia. That\u2019s dangerous. We have a current president who says that sanctions are never intended or would never deter Vladimir Putin. We\u2019re all going, why did we issue sanctions then?<\/p>\n<p>And so, no, I\u2019m way more concerned, and I think the American people are, with the current president and his behavior and really the lack of scrutiny of it compared to a former president who has a long history of saying sort of outrageous things, whether seriously or not seriously, and being taken way, way, way too seriously, frankly, by a press corps that\u2019s all too anxious to jump on an interesting personality to say the least.<\/p>\n<p>But, I might also add, Chuck, that when Donald Trump was president, Russia didn\u2019t invade Ukraine. Russia\u2019s invaded Ukraine only when the Bidens have either been vice president or president. So, you know, I kind of like that style of leadership. And by the way, he brought the price of oil and gas down by unleashing American innovation in energy.<\/p>\n<p>TODD: Again, look, rationalize on that stuff, that\u2019s a political argument. That\u2019s fair.
