Imagine nine months earlier terminating, killing that life. Because that\u2019s what it is.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cOnce you\u2019ve seen that, you\u2019re not going to go back,\u201d he continued in the ad. \u201cI\u2019m pro-life. Life starts at conception.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>But Oz is on record in the past advocating for access to abortion.<\/p>\n<p>In a 2019 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=nkw8Du6grzA&#038;t=1492s&#038;ab_channel=BreakfastClubPower105.1FM\">interview<\/a> on the <em>Breakfast Club<\/em>, a radio show hosted by Charlamagne tha God, Oz was asked about an Alabama heartbeat bill \u2014 limiting abortion to six weeks after conception \u2014 and took the opportunity to slam the entire premise of a heartbeat bill, claiming there is no heartbeat at six weeks.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>\u201cThere are electrical exchanges at six weeks, but the heart\u2019s not beating,\u201d Oz said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf you\u2019re going to define life by a beating heart, then make it a beating heart, not little electrical exchanges in the cell that no one would hear or think about as a heart,\u201d he continued, reiterating common terminology from pro-abortion advocates that children in the womb are merely just \u201ccells.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cJust being logical about it, if you think that the moment of conception you\u2019ve got a life, then why would you even wait six weeks?\u201d he said, further attacking the premise. \u201cRight, then an in-vitro fertilized egg is still a life.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Oz also attempted to minimize the issue of abortion, claiming there were other, more important things to be focused on.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThere\u2019s so much we\u2019ve got to do already to take care of each other,\u201d he said. \u201cTo start picking fights on this, I always wonder about it. It happens periodically. There are these moral issues that almost on purpose are inflamed.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B3\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>At the prospect of overturning <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>, the Supreme Court case that is largely <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2021\/01\/18\/62502904-babies-have-been-killed-in-abortions-since-roe-v-wade-in-1973\/\">responsible<\/a> for over 62 million abortions since its 1973 decision, Oz said that \u201cas a doctor \u2026 it\u2019s a big-time concern.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBecause I went to medical school in Philadelphia, and I saw women who had coat-hanger events,\u201d he said. \u201cAnd I mean really traumatic events that happened when they were younger, before\u00a0<em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>. And many of them were harmed for life.\u201d<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>He then continued to make the argument, as many pro-abortion Democrats such as Sen. Tim Kaine (D-VA) do, that he is personally uncomfortable with abortion but would not want to \u201cinterfere with anyone else\u2019s stuff.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>His Breakfast Club interview is not the only time he has taken a pro-abortion stance.<\/p>\n<p>In December, Oz struggled to give a concise answer to when he believes life begins in an interview with Fox News.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B4\" class=\"a8d adSo\"><\/figure>\n<p>While claiming to be \u201cpro-life,\u201d Oz also said that life \u201cbegins when you\u2019re in the mother\u2019s womb,\u201d which host Will Cain pointed out includes all nine months of pregnancy.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Fox News host Will Cain grills U.S. Senate candidate Dr. Oz (R-PA) on what his political beliefs are on key conservative issues. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/g8FU1NtGQC\">pic.twitter.com\/g8FU1NtGQC<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 Jason Rantz on KTTH Radio (@jasonrantz) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/jasonrantz\/status\/1471382054583484418?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">December 16, 2021<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>\u201cLife\u2019s already started when you\u2019re in your mother\u2019s womb,\u201d Oz replied. \u201cBut it\u2019s a rathole to get trapped in the different ways to talk about it.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe need as a nation to make sure the Constitution is appropriately followed and people like me who are pro-life have our feelings respected, and this is something that should not be taken away from us by judiciary legislating from the bench,\u201d he continued.<\/p>\n<p>Despite his past statements, the Oz campaign is attempting to rebrand as pro-life.<\/p>\n<p>In early March, Oz <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/opinion\/op-eds\/life-is-precious-we-must-protect-it\">wrote<\/a> an op-ed in the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> claiming, \u201c<span class=\"ArticlePage-articleBody-firstLetter\">F<\/span>rom the moment of conception to natural death, all life is a miracle.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTo combat these pro-abortion extremists, I think it\u2019s clear the pro-life movement needs more doctors in our ranks,\u201d he wrote, despite having qualified his past pro-abortion statements on his being a doctor.<\/p>\n<p><em>Breccan F.
