The video is unrelated to the current conflict in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check:<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The U.N. estimates that Russia\u2019s invasion of Ukraine has killed at least 1,189 civilians, though acknowledged the actual toll is likely much higher, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/refugees-ukraine-russia-war-4-million-passing-united-nations-estimates-2022-3\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Business Insider<\/a>. Approximately 4 million residents have fled their homes since the start of the conflict in February, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>One video shared on Facebook calls into question what is happening in Ukraine. It appears to show an individual applying makeup and fake blood to an unidentified man. \u201cWhite helmets in action,\u2019innocent victims of Russian aggression\u2019 smile and wave you,\u201d reads the video\u2019s caption, implying the people visible are crisis actors in Ukraine.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cwhite helmets\u201d refers to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehelmets.org\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Syrian civil defense group<\/a> that has been falsely accused of staging evidence of Russian and Syrian government war crimes, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/stories-56126016\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BBC News<\/a>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/03\/25\/fact-check-russian-missiles-ukraine-building-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(RELATED: Does This Video Show A Russian Missile Strike On A Ukrainian Building?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The video predates the Russian invasion and there is no evidence the individuals visible in it are crisis actors. A reverse image search revealed the video is from a Ukrainian television series called \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/driu.pro\/projects\">Contamin<\/a>,\u201d which was created by <a href=\"https:\/\/driu.pro\/team\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">DRIU Productions<\/a>. One of the actors visible in the video, a woman in a green jacket, can be seen in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=ifsCrfHrHIw&#038;t=331s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">YouTube clip<\/a> of the series shared Feb. 17, a week before the Russian invasion.<\/p>\n<p>An image of the man seen in the Facebook video was shared to <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CinemaPeople_\/status\/1335969839052173317?s=20&#038;t=7iuqVU4f6kEJFIx8dCHscQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Twitter<\/a> in December 2020 and shows him from a December 2021 TikTok, which has since been deleted, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.delfi.lt\/news\/melo-detektorius\/melas\/kino-kurejos-darba-panaudojo-dezinformacijai-skleisti.d?id=89584193#:~:text=That%20there%20is,in%20the%20commentary.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Delfi<\/a>. <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2022\/03\/25\/fact-check-russian-missiles-ukraine-building-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Daria Driuchenko<\/a>, a producer and director for DRIU Productions, told Check Your Fact in an email that the footage was filmed \u201c2 years ago\u201d and provided screenshots from her phone that dated the video to November 2020. \u201cYesterday I deleted the video from Tik-Tok,\u201d Druichenko confirmed, adding that she had been contacted by other outlets
