oil terminals and depots in Britain the same day the energy price cap is being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/business-60943192\">hiked by 54 per cent<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/environment\/2022\/apr\/01\/down-to-earth-just-stop-oil-protest\">Just Stop Oil<\/a>, one of a number of extremist anti-fossil fuel groups in the United Kingdom which recently disrupted professional football matches and the\u00a0British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs), blocked Inter Terminals UK, Navigator Terminals Thames, Esso Birmingham,\u00a0Purfleet Fuels Terminal,\u00a0Kingsbury Oil Terminal, the BP Depot in Tamworth, and the\u00a0Buncefield Oil Depot in\u00a0Hemel Hempstead, according to the BBC.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>The publicly-funded broadcaster further\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-england-60951403\">reports<\/a> that the better-known <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2021\/11\/04\/extinction-rebellion-co-founder-said-climate-change-will-see-your-mother-sister-and-grlfriend-gang-raped\/\">Extinction Rebellion (XR)<\/a> group, which has shut down swathes of the British capital of London <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/europe\/2019\/10\/24\/extinction-rebellion-protests-have-cost-police-37-million\/\">several times<\/a>, claims it has \u201cheld\u201d a further\u00a0three sites \u201cof strategic importance to the UK\u2019s energy network\u201d, namely\u00a0Esso West, near Heathrow Airport, and Esso Hythe and\u00a0BP Hamble, both near Southampton.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Just Stop Oil coalition is demanding an end to the government\u2019s genocidal policy of expanding UK oil and gas production and is calling on all those outraged at the prospect of climate collapse and suffering from the cost-of-living crisis to stand with us,\u201d Just Stop Oil declared in a statement \u2014 although Prime Minister Boris Johnson\u2019s government has not actually made opening new oil and gas fields or especially fracking for shale gas especially easy, given its leftist climate policies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOrdinary people can no longer afford oil and gas, it\u2019s time to just stop oil,\u201d the group added \u2014 failing to explain how abruptly removing oil from the energy mix could do anything other than increase prices massively.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p href=\"https:\/\/news.sky.com\/story\/just-stop-oil-at-least-six-people-arrested-in-essex-as-protest-group-blocks-key-oil-terminals-12579286\">reported<\/a> that, as of the time of publication, at least 13 people have been arrested in connection with the blockades, with\u00a0Assistant Chief Constable Rachel Nolan of Essex Police warning that their protest has created an \u201cextremely dangerous\u201d situation.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want to be clear: policing is not anti-protest, but we must intervene where there is a risk to life or where laws are being broken,\u201d she asaid.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy hope is that this will be resolved safely and swiftly so that our officers can get back to protecting and serving the people of Essex.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>ExxonMobil UK has confirmed that, for the time being, the blockades have forced them to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/uk-england-60951403\">suspend operations<\/a> at four locations.<\/p>\n<p>Martin Daubney, a former Brexit Party MEP and the current deputy leader of Larence Fox\u2019s Reclaim UK party, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/MartinDaubney\/status\/1509821344850100248\">called<\/a> for the leftists to be cleared off the roads with water cannon, quipping that it would \u201cbe the first wash these Just Stop Oil plonkers have had in months\u201d.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#8216;We need to just stop oil\u2026 if that&#8217;s wind turbines I think that&#8217;s a much smaller price to pay than the end of
