The comedian briefly addressed the incident during his first public appearance since the Oscars, but only to say that he wasn\u2019t ready to talk about it yet. Then on Thursday night in Boston, Rock shut down a heckler who was disparaging Will Smith.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2022\/04\/01\/chris-rock-shuts-down-fan-yelling-f-k-will-smith-during-rowdy-second-night-of-boston-shows\/\"><span>According to<\/span><\/a><span> the New York Post, The Wilbur Theater comedy crowd had \u201ca lot of extra energy\u201d during the 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. shows. \u201cSomeone yelled out \u2018f*** Will Smith\u2019 and [Rock] went, \u2018No, no, no,\u2019\u201d an anonymous audience member told the publication.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201c[Rock] said it like five or six times as he walked across the stage,\u201d she said.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This came after the comedian brought down the house with his Wednesday night show opening, also in Boston. The Daily Wire previously <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/how-was-your-weekend-chris-rock-brings-the-house-down-at-first-comedy-show-since-oscars\"><span>reported<\/span><\/a><span> that Rock opened the show by asking, \u201cHow was your weekend?\u201d to a chorus of raucous laughter and applause.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The 57-year-old comedian continued saying, \u201cI don\u2019t have a bunch of s*** about what happened, so if you came to hear that, I have a whole show I wrote before this weekend. I\u2019m still kind of processing what happened. So, at some point I\u2019ll talk about that s***. And it will be serious and funny.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Someone in that crowd also attempted to get a \u201cF*** Will Smith\u201d chant going, but Rock ignored them until it stopped and said, \u201cI\u2019m going to tell some jokes. It\u2019s nice to just be out.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>Ticket sales for the comedian\u2019s current tour allegedly skyrocketed on resale sites following the now-infamous moment at the Oscars ceremony. Rock hasn\u2019t addressed what happened, however, other than shutting down hecklers and promising to talk about it all later.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cPeople were egging him on but he wouldn\u2019t bite. I bought a ticket on StubHub thinking he\u2019d make a bit of it but he didn\u2019t,\u201d a fan told the Post.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>In general, the crowd seemed a lot more riled up than normal, and rowdy patrons had to be removed from Rock\u2019s shows both nights. One attendee recalled Rock mentioning the vibe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cSome guy was heckling him and he said \u2018is that the Oscars security?\u2019\u201d Christian Williams told the Post. \u201cThe guy was saying \u2018f*** Will Smith.\u2019 There were a lot of \u2018f*** Will Smith\u2019s.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>The comedian will be in Boston on Friday night as well before heading to scheduled shows at The Borgata in Atlantic City.
