And for this election, the media market is not only more expensive, but the super PAC\u2019s ad buy is spread out across the country.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"D-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B1\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<figure id=\"gmxrevmore\" class=\"H\"><\/figure>\n<p>This year, the House Majority PAC\u2019s ad buy is nearly double what they\u2019ve spent in the two previous cycles. In 2020, the PAC initial buy was in 29 media markets using roughly half the amount of cash and in 2018, they were in 33 media markets spending $43 million.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">With so much at stake this year, HMP is making our largest ever early investment of over $100 million in targeted TV and digital ads across the country, doubling our 2020 early investment.<\/p>\n<p>We\u2019re all in to secure a Democratic House majority in 2022.<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/iir2O64oTF\">https:\/\/t.co\/iir2O64oTF<\/a><\/p>\n<p>\u2014 House Majority PAC (@HouseMajPAC) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HouseMajPAC\/status\/1509163106374725635?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">March 30, 2022<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>The expansive ad buy \u201creveals the scope of Democrats\u2019 worries about holding seats in midterm elections\u201d since they are buying in places they usually would not have to, such as South Texas and Seattle. The\u00a0<i data-stringify-type=\"italic\">Times<\/i>\u00a0noted the Democrats would also be going on the offense with their ad buys in places such as California, where the redistricting process gave them the ability to possibly pick up seats in the state.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"M-ROS-B2\" class=\"a8d\"><\/figure>\n<p>The super PACs executive director\u00a0Abby Curran Horrell said,\u00a0\u201cWe are doing whatever it takes to hold the majority, and there are opportunities across the map. \u2026 We feel confident about the races that we plan to play in.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>However, a few weeks ago, Rep. Sean Patrick Maloney (D-NY),\u00a0the chairman of the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee (DCCC), <a href=\"https:\/\/www.breitbart.com\/politics\/2022\/03\/11\/dccc-chair-sean-patrick-maloney-shows-concern-over-republican-groups-fundraising-better\/\">worried<\/a> about the fundraising and spending from outside Republican groups, such as Congressional Leadership Fund (CLF), compared to those that are Democrat-aligned.<\/p>\n<p>CLF\u00a0President Dan Conston alluded that the\u00a0House Majority PAC\u2019s massive\u00a0expenditure \u2014 which is more than double what they have in the bank \u2014 shows how weak the Democrat party is going into the midterms as they have to deal with a failing president and massive spending bills that have rapidly increased inflation and his policies that have crippled American energy independence.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI think they believe they\u2019ve already lost the majority,\u201d Conston said. \u201cThis is about staving off losses in some deep blue, traditionally Democratic areas.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><i>Jacob Bliss is a reporter for Breitbart News.
